I haven't used the shorties but have used the xl duals in other tanks I have....they worked fine. Never had an over heating problem.
That's good to hear, maybe these shorties will be OK to use then. I'm hoping so. Nothing like a dualie at 5V with certain juices, not recommended for organics though.
I don't know if they are the same, but I ordered a box of the Low resistance refillable 510 cartomizers 1.7ohm from madvapes and they get really hot at 3.7 volts even in a tank. They didn't have a very good flavor (not burnt, but really poor flavor) either. I quit using them in fear of damaging my tank.
