If you were following the standard procedure, then yes, I think you had a defective one. If there was no filler, it could easily just run straight out the battery end. Or you were pushing the needle straight through the filler and filling up the atty and chamber. You only really need for the syringe to touch the top of the filler, or go about 2mm into it.

I've been filling mine with the 18g blunt syringe since yesterday. It doesn't even fit through the fill port, but I just cover the hole and fill slowly. I've found I can fit an extra .2 easily this way.

I'm sooo proud of you kiddies in my class.
Now Sheree can spell, wv can fill CE2's and vaporgal can ... can ... vaporgal are you drinking something back there?
OMG, what a class!
So, vaporgal, did you read your assignment on page 17 of the MN thread about me becoming a doctor? It had to do with a thing heartbskts had done ...
You kids sit up straight, please.

I'm here! Drinking white wine and going back and forth between this forum and grading. Grading isn't nearly as much fun though. :( Yep - read my assignment on page 17 and responded!

Last night, I figured that I was doing it wrong. But after trying a new one, I think the other carto was defective. For both cartos, I'm using a blunt 18 g syringe and inserting it just a little bit below the hole.

By the way, where do you live in North Central Mass.? We own property in North Adams and eventually plan to move there.

We're about 50 miles east of North Adams. If you don't value freedom or low taxes, it's a great place to live. ;)

Very close! I really like North Adams. We're okay with the taxes. The taxes on our house in North Adams are so cheap compared to our house here in South Florida. Also, we have a lot of other taxes here that are crazy. So what do you mean about "if you don't value freedom"? Maybe we shouldn't move there?

Let's just say that the politics here are very different than they are in most of the country, including Florida. As far as taxes, we've got them covered: 6.25% Sales, 5.5% Income, too many excise taxes to count, and property taxes are rising as fast as our real estate values have fallen. But the further away from Boston you are, the better. Especially when it comes to property taxes. And you can't get much farther away than North Adams. Western Mass is truly beautiful country.

Must admit - I'm not familiar with the politics in Mass. In Florida, we don't have income tax. I wish we did though, since the state has made up for it with sin taxes, luxury taxes, etc. So your property taxes are high? If so, I consider ourselves fortunate. We own a furnished apt. and a house in North Adams. Taxes on both are low. I don't remember the amount for the apt., but our annual taxes for our house are only $650!

When we first visited North Adams, we fell in love with the quaint town. We started looking at houses and working with a realtor. We bought our apt. that week. Went back three months later and bought a house. For now, both the house and apt. are rented out. Both the house and the apt. are near Main Street so the location is great. Originally, we wanted to live between South Florida and Mass. But, the property values in Florida have dropped a lot in the last few years. So, eventually, we'll probably sell our house here and move to Mass.

Oops - You figured out that I fibbed. Don't tell your wife, but we still live in Southeast Florida. Florida, Mass. is just minutes away from where our house and condo. are in Mass.
