Mine just flooded and leaked again after using it for the first time today. Lots of liquid coming through drip tip and the air intake was filled with liquid. This thing sucks. Had to take it completely apart and clean it.

I am very sorry to hear that--I had thought you were in the clear and cruising. It's kind of weird, the thing works perfectly all the way until it doesn't, and then once it leaks, it just doesn't want to stop. Mine worked great for few hours without incident, then suddenly a small gurgle, and then a lot of flooding. I would then clean it all up, and then repeat the process. No way I could put that tank in my pocket while at work!

I love the way this tank is designed, the conception, if you will, of the this tank with it's vertical coil and fully adjustable airflow. But, unfortunately, there are problems with the implementation of that design. I would be more than happy to return to this tank once they've ironed out all the leaks and floods.

Any users tell me about the battery life? Does the xl battery get you through the working day?

The 2200 mAh xl battery gave me about 1.5 days (~24 hours of awake time vaping) before it hit 50% battery and I recharged it. That's on the 1 ohm coil, with it sitting on my desk vaping a few puffs every five minutes while I work. I've been turning it off (5-click) between vapes. Juice-wise, that worked out at ~1.5 * 2.5ml tanks of juice before the recharge.

Ok guys need some help....I got the ego one yesterday, primed the coil, filled the tank, and let it sit for a bit. Tried taking a hit and got a horrible burnt hit. Let it sit for a couple hours and tried again. First couple hits were ok and then it started gurgling really bad. Tried to blow through the drip tip and nothing came out. Any thoughts? I'm not really a newb but new to this setup....

I had two blocked/gurgly feelings on the first day with no leakage. I took five or so successive mouth only hits, let it sit upright standing on its end for ten minutes, repeat once, and the gurgle was gone. Coincidence maybe, but that's the first thing I'd try if I gurgled again.

I've still not been able to replicate the gurgle some five or six tanks later, so I have no idea what that was about.

Well, it's time to eat some humble pie. My ego one battery officially died, charge light works but the fire button is dead. I will say this I'm hard on things and it's been dropped numerous amounts of times. I think the ego one is an amazing backup device, and I will pick up another battery and keep the one in my glove box. But for a day to day rough use device it just doesn't have the build quality of a MVP or an Istick.

A mechmod look-alike minus the sturdiness...

All users rejoice!!

Instead of fixing the head related issues, joyetech is releasing it in "Six different colors for your option"

And someone should probably tell them that the battery light doesn't flash red while charging like that page says. As per the instructions that come with the device, the light stays on until fully charged, then it turns off.

People are going to think their device is faulty if they read that :p

What is the expectation here? The Ego-One is designed to be a fashion item, with the benefit of a great vape. So why not bring it out with some fashionable colours?

I've been using the 2200 mAh battery with the 2.5ml tank for 4 weeks with no deal breaking issues. Ok so the button on my first battery broke when I jammed it in my backpack got on my bicycle and rode over some super rough cobblestones. But as far as my 2.5ml tank goes no problems with leaking issues. The only leaking I've had is when it is nearly empty and the vacuum is weak and it is minor at that.

It gives a great flavoured vape (better than my Subtank Mini), massive steam clouds and enough battery power for a day out and about. The last coil I had was 3 weeks old before I changed it and I really didn't need to change it. I've used 75%VG juices and 50/50 juices no problem.

The only thing the really bugs me about it is seeing the LED in sunlight. Damn near impossible even in this weak Northern European spring sunshine, I expect I will have zero chance when I get back to the strong Aussie sunlight

I agree, sure it has it's limitations but remember here it's just a starter kit the price is reasonable, the performance, well it beats the hell out of a evod/spinner type kit, and it looks fashionably sleek and clean, if that is important to you. The added colours will appeal to the fashion conscious and it'll help them sell tons more of them. The ladies can have one for every outfit if they choose to make a fashion statement. Win/win. Cheers.

I was talking to one of my colleagues yesterday and she said that "I'd like to quit smoking and try vaping but these devices look so ugly and unappealing" . Caught her attention immediately by showing Ego One. She said: "Wow, this one looks nice. Does it come in different colours??"

Leakage

So I received 3 of them (including both 1.8ml & 2.5ml tanks). Been running tight draw mouth-to-lung hits on the 1100mAh battery and 1Ohm heads. ALL three tanks gurgle just after a short while. Tanks run 3 different juices, one of them is a 70VG/20PG/10H2O. All o-rings in place.

Coming from Aspire BVC heads on the eGrip, I've never experienced such an issue.

I vape mine on an istick 30w. I've found if it's gurgling, the voltage is set too low. I can take a few big pulls and the gurgling goes away. I haven't had any leaking issues, and one of the things i like about it is that the airflow does not route through the contact to the battery, so I haven't had a single drop of liquid end up on the battery contact. That said, I do find that certain flavors burn through coils much more quickly than others, and the coils don't seem to be as consistent as I'd like. Some last 2-3 days, others last 2 weeks. I have 2 tanks and have gone though 10 coils so far. It's still my favorite tank in terms of flavor and vapor, and I love the small size. I wish it was easier to fill and see the liquid level.

I do think, that the white seal where you open the tank to refill can be problematic. It is easy to get that coil to twist out of place and not seal correctly, so it's important to make sure it's properly seated before cranking it down.
