Some people have been drilling out the wick holes....i will be trying a clr coil.. If that doesn't improve the wicking, the ego tank will go in the closet
Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.
I have been using only the CLR heads. They're kinda awesome... easy to build or rewick...

Someone is sending me one to try, I hope it revives this tank, cause I love how well it matches the mod :p
It *might* :D. Are they sending you a TC CLR head, or just a regular CLR that you plan on putting Ni or Ti in? Reason I ask is that in the non-TC heads, the 0.5Ω and 1.0Ω have different size airflow holes in the 510 pin. The 0.5Ω heads have a larger air hole (same size as the TC heads.) So if you get a 1.0Ω head and it doesn't quite seem to be getting the flow you want, try a 0.5Ω (or TC) head before you give up completely.

Took me a bit to realize what was going on. One coil I built was great and other completely sucked.

It's a .5 regular clr.... If all else fails I'll buy a cl-ti and steal the pin off that :p

Hello, Alaskavaper her. I have a delimna that I would like some opinions on please. I ordered my Evic vt last week and it arrived yesterday and I unboxed it this morning. I had seen PBusrardos review shortly after I placed my order and was happy his review was largely positive, giving it a thumbs up. Because this is my first TC device, that made me feel like I had made a good decision. After unboxing this morning I checked Busardo'ss web site "tasteyourjuice.com- what a shock! He changed his review to thumbs down today after following up email complaints from some knowlegable Evic users that were having problems with burnt wicks when using the device under 30 watts, which wattage levels Busardo had not used in his original review. He therefore ran his extensive scope tests at the under 30 watt level and he found that the problem is use in that range. Apparently at these lower ranges in both watt and TC modes the device puts out a burst of 8.4 volts for about 1.28 seconds and thereby causes a burnt taste from the wick. This seems unacceptable and a flaw in the devices performance. Since I have not used the Evic yet, only unboxed it, I am stuck with the question of returning it or wait for Evic to address this matter. It is a clearly authenticated problem and Busardo has altered his opinion from the thumbs up to thumbs down now. Does anyone using the device have any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance.

Not something you need to worry about unless you're tootle puffing (running less than 20w with highly restricted airflow). Not sure, but I think someone mentioned that the burst only happens when you first turn it on and hit the fire button the first time?

Fwiw, I get stellar performance with my 3 VT's running Ti coils in my STmini rbas....lung hitting with afc set to middle position using 75vg juice, 40w, 480-530°.

AlaskaVaper again, Just thought I should give an update on my vaping experiences using the Evic TC mod since my earlier post from page 95. I have become a convert to this, my first TC device, and in fact I have aquired a second box to use in my daily rotation, This Evic is proving to be a terrific device for me since I have learned how it operates. Yesterday I made my first ever dual coil TI build for my Velocity RDA (9 wraps, 26 ga., 3mm, .15 ohm) using bamboo rayon wick (another first} and juiced it with a favorite e-liquid. Fired it up with the TI setting and honestly, I was blown away. The flavor was intense with highlight notes that I had never experienced before, and since I had earlier been vaping the same juice earlier, in a Smok TCT RTA with a .15 nickel coil I had a great immediate comparison. Titanium is very easy to build with and I find that contact coils are very easy to do. I think that titanium is what I will continue using in future with temp control. I have also been using the Evic with Kanthal wire in wattage mode and it give great performance. I have a 26650 Zypher Buddha RDA on the Evic using kanthal that is really terrific, both for flavor and cloud production. The price point for the Evic mod at only 49.95 seems to be a great bargain when you consider that to buy 4 quality 18650 batteries would cost nearly that much and with the Evic you get the benefit of a 5000 mah rechargable Lipo battery and a nice TC control device as well. It is small, fits great in the hand and is very pleasing to look at, at least in my eyes. What more could one ask for (the DNA200 perhaps--lol) while waiting on the future developments. My Evics have been trouble free so far and I am keeping my fingers crossed. I strongly recommend this device. My only complaint of TC is that if you desire a really hot vape you really need to switch to Kanthal. That is what I use my SMY Kung Fu series box for so I have that end covered. Thanks for reading and cheers to The Bloke who inspires me and probably has forgotten more about TC than I will ever know.

Hello all I just recently purchased my Evic Vt last weekend at the vape expo. It was working great until yesterday, warm and flavorful vapes. I decided to drill out the nickel coil because it seemed like the flavor was dropping off n I wanted to get more juice into it, didn't work. So I switched back to the titanium coil which I was liking better and that is dull now too. Seems like only the first pull of the day after it's been fully charged is actually warm and dense (and I have it set to 550) and it's still hasn't been warm. Only if I let it sit for a while do I get the crackling sound when I first fire the device other than that it seems like I'm sucking on a straw with very airy clouds I'm very confused.

This is what it's like for me on the lemo 2.

That's most likely a problem with wicking.... The coils aren't getting enough juice, so tp is kicking in..... Those stock cl coils for the mega are horrid. I would invest in a better tank to use

yeah that's what I was thinking maybe il drill out the titanium one too. But yeah I'm definitely going to buy a nice TC tank I like the crown tank by UWell and the triton looks really nice and coils are more readily available so I will probably go with that. I have a STM and nickel wire on the way but the black subtank won't match my white evic so that is NOT an option of my life depended on it lmao JK can't wait to try it out when the wire gets here. Thanks again :)

Also I don't know how any juice gets into the stock coils that come with the mega all the juice I own is 75+VG I have no clue what's going on there lol

Your juice may be part of the problem with the design of the mega. I use 50% or less VG and the stock coils seem to wick fine for me. Started with 50/50 mix because I didn't know which I would like, soooo a bit of each seemed like the way to go.

Clr coils don't need drilling, they have adjustable wicking....
CLR-Ti Head - Joyetech

Oh yes, you are very correct! I feel such a goof overlooking this. Just looked at a Kanthal CLR head comparing to stock CL TI head and oh boy! Juice ports, when fully opened, are square for the CLR heads and MUCH larger, more than double than the stock CL heads.
