Just realized with only being able to recharge lipos about 300 times Ill be lucky if my evic vt lasts me a year, ouch.

Who said 300? What I've read about most lipos its more like 500 charges while retaining 80% capacity. . Plus if you get two days out of a charge then at 300 cycles that would be 600 days.

Here's the battery in the evic for your reading...

Hello all I just recently purchased my Evic Vt last weekend at the vape expo. It was working great until yesterday, warm and flavorful vapes. I decided to drill out the nickel coil because it seemed like the flavor was dropping off n I wanted to get more juice into it, didn't work. So I switched back to the titanium coil which I was liking better and that is dull now too. Seems like only the first pull of the day after it's been fully charged is actually warm and dense (and I have it set to 550) and it's still hasn't been warm. Only if I let it sit for a while do I get the crackling sound when I first fire the device other than that it seems like I'm sucking on a straw with very airy clouds I'm very confused.

I think your wicking isn't sufficient.. You should look in a mirror or smart phone (with the screen off) to see what its firing at for wattage while your pulling on it. To use what you've got you would probably need to turn the wattage down so it doesn't temp protect so fast due to poor wicking. It may be doing you a favor. :)

Do you regularly vape at 30w or more?

Saying that after sitting overnight it worked, probably means the coil finally got saturated enough to handle the power your throwing at it.

Hope this helps in some way.

I finally tried the Evic with the stock Ni coil. It performs flawlessly. Hasn't "updated". No new coil or atomizer display. It locked in at .22 and stays there. Remove the atty to refill or switch to Power mode and back and it still retains the settings. The nickel coil vapes fine in Power mode too. I haven't tried Ti yet but probably will tomorrow. It's simple and easy to set. I have to set it higher on the readout to get similar vape warmth to the SX Mini or VaporShark. I like it as well as the VS but the SX Mini still provides a better vape to me. Probably due to the PWM. I expected problems with it in TC mode but nothing so far. Decent mod. The screen is crooked but I can fix that.

Yes I was actually taking videos of FaceTime style so i could see it happening and I usually keep it at 35 though I really don't see any difference if I go up to 60 cause it gets protected almost instantly and yeah that makes since if it's sitting for a while maybe the thicker juice is absorbing into it a little. for the people with the CLR heads how are you liking them are they worth to buy and give this tank another try or just wait a week or two before I pick up a Crown or Triton tank.

Oh, heck yeah! I bought 15 CLR heads and love 'em!

So I have been experiencing something that while I wouldn't describe as a problem but its annoying. When I screw on the ego one mega with the .2 ohm ni coil on to my VT, in ni mode it reads .2 ohms like it has been but after lock the ohms it jumps up to .21 ohms after I hit the fire button. It didn't use to do this. Any thoughts? Also, whats the proper procedure to lock in the ohms?

Perhaps the mod has to be cool also?

is this really a big deal? The meter reads to two dec places right? So if when you put the atty on it is, say 0.204 it will probably reound down to 0.20. If it then makes it to 0.205 it will probably round up to 0.21. Not saying this is what is going on but you may conceivably be looking at a difference in reading of 1 mOhm!!

The proper procedure to lock ohms is to install a room temperature atomizer to a room temperature evic VT. If you get the new atty yes/no choose the appropriate answer.
Otherwise, enter the menus by pressing the fore button three times in rapid succession. Use right to select VT ni or VT ti, or VW (anything not ti or ni). Use the left control to cycle to the atomizer resistance. Use control right to lock the read resistance (a padlock icon will appear).
If you install the atomizer while the evic is off I'm pretty sure you don't get the new atomizer prompt.

Some people have been drilling out the wick holes....i will be trying a clr coil.. If that doesn't improve the wicking, the ego tank will go in the closet
Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.

The non CLR ti coils aren't too shabby drilled out. The ego one mega definitely has muted flavor compared to an OCC equipped kanger tank, but for some juices that might be a benefit.

Mine doesn't seem to have a new atty prompt. Swapping attys or modes (on or off) does nothing to the settings and it stays locked to the original resistance at all times. From what I've read, this isn't normal.

My point, and concern, was that when I locked the ohms is didn't stay locked. Maybe you missed that part.

I tried it with a room temperature atty and room temperature evic and it works fine, the one time I tried it. Thank you.

I have better luck being in the atty lock screen before I screw it down all the way.then when it reads the ohm lock right away..

If the atty is on when you click 3 times it will fire the coil before lock and then you have to wait for it to refine itself when its all cooled for like 15 min.

About 2 weeks ago mine decided to fix itself! Everything I screw on it now remains stable with no resistance wander whatsoever. Only one tank has a new build in it, all of the rest were known to wander on my eVic, but were stable on my DNA40

Keep using it for about a month or so, maybe it'll fix itself, LOL!

(It sounds like your coil resistance is too close to the previously saved coil, so it thinks it's the same coil)

You need to unlock the resistance before changing coils
