My newer, second unit has been acting strangely as of late. The resistance keeps jumping around, forcing the volts to change while in wattage mode. I checked my atomizers, switched tanks, etc but it keeps doing it. Even placed the same tank on the older Evic VT and it's smooth sailing with that one.
I plan on giving it a good look over and cleaning over my days off, but it kind of bums me out to discover this. Guess I've been lucky to date with failure rates of mods purchased, but still is depressing.

bummer to hear...

maybe try some lube on your center (+) pin (make sure it's springy)

(don't use a petroleum based, it will eat O-rings)

good luck

Got me VT today, large internal battery was the main selling point for me, a single VTC4A is just a little too little for me.
Speaking of which...How long does VTs internal battery last?
There are some specs 'bout charging cycles, but has anyone noticed a drop in capacity while havin used the mod for long?

My first one, from when the Evic VT 60W was first released, is still going strong with no diminishing of the battery life. I use it mainly in wattage mode since I never have warmed up to TC. I run resistances above 1 ohm, and the battery lasts, on average, 3 days before I recharge it. I never let it fully drain, however.

Do you mean if the performance drops when the battery is getting lower?

If so then I haven't noticed it, but I vape in TC mode only & I'm not sure if that would compensate for any voltage drops.

Mine lasts me 4 days to a week or so, I vape less then 3ml a day at low to medium temps around 0,4ohm.

I usually don't let it get under half a charge or so though, just for piece of mind.

edit: it's in Russian (I suspect), but here's a vid:

I kinda like the clock ;)

5000 mAh battery -- SOLD!
And firmware upgradeable

I'm indifferent about the buttons... a little worried about wear-n-tear, but I was never a fan of the chrome-look, either. Battery life vs weight is more important to me. The VT60 has been a workhorse for me, and I'm eager to grab a few more ;)

Yeah, same here. I have it for a year now; its my daily driver most of the time and battery life is still fine.

Oh me too, as it happens I was just looking for an excuse to stop wearing a watch, I think it's real convenient.

I really like the rocker switch personally, but I've only had mine for 6 weeks now so I can't tell how long it will hold up. The chrome just gives it that extra finesse imo, it just completes the look for me. But it's a matter of taste I guess.

It appears they've painted the top chrome plate black as well on the cool black version by the way, that would probably look awesome with a black tank...

Heavengifts has them on pre-sale for around 60 bucks, vapesource for just under 42 bucks

Does anyone have any experience with that shop? I am really tempted to order one there, that's even cheaper then the best price I can find the old VT for right now.

He's wrong about the size difference between the old and new model though, they are identical in size according to the specs on Joyetech's website.

edit: pic of the VT2 line up:

I thought the specs had the vtwo about 10 mm larger on the length.

I'm so tempted to replace my current mini with it . I hate the built in battery but I really shouldn't with it being 5000 mah. I think I hate the thought of my 18650s sitting on my shelf.

You can see them side by side at 10.30:

I'm having second thoughts about the new one myself.

The black buttons really put me off, plus my original VT does everything I want it to. I think I'm just gonna get another VT instead.

The black buttons just look out of place on those chromed tops. The black editions look nice, however. If they had coated/painted to tops with matching colors, they would look better.

I own 2 of the original, and plan on purchasing at least 2 more (just to have as back-ups). Just have to decide on the color options available at place of purchase.
