For some reason I thought it would come with a color matched silicon sleeve. One of the few pictures floating around lead me to that, so I'm probably wrong.

I'm really stoked about the size of the thing, especially considering the 5,000mah battery capacity.

And I'm sure I'll get some chuckles for this, but I'm glad they included the infamous eVic "Puff" counter! I miss my stupid Puff Counter!

Freakin' chrome and a gloss finish. Why, China, why? Are you harvesting our Western fingerprints?

And not a fan of that white sleeve either.

But I'll buy one, regardless, and hope J-Wraps can sort the aesthetics out for me.

I hear you, it certainly can't cost much more to make the mods with a Vapor Shark like finish...damn I hate those shiny slippery mods......:w00t:

This mod will open the floodgates but I'll jump on board since it's the first of it's kind and I actually trust Joyetech's products. I am skeptical about melodyvapes though, so I'll wait. I think it's cool that they're offering Ni & Ti coils for the Delta II as well but I've long since been done with that tank. I've been all about the Starre with it's ability to use multiple coil heads, including the Atlantis Ni200. I've got the top fill OBS T-VCT tank coming later today & hopefully it accepts various coils as well cause it looks like a solid clearo too. Anyways, going off topic....I think the controls will be tedious but at the same time they're innovative as Brian said. Can't wait!

I am digging this one as well. Will be my next device for sure. Not extremely thrilled with the colors, or the control knob, but oh well. Everything I am seeing puts the price on this at around $125. With all it comes with, I would say it's a decent price. I would prefer it to be $100 or less, but heak, I spent $200 on this SX Mini M...

*Edit* Wow, prices are all over the place for this thing! Also, I was digging the orange version, but some places have it looking more yellow. Guess time will tell on the colors and price.

Now it makes sense. So basically we're paying $25 for the tank...I'll probably pass on that

Yes, it would seem that we will be paying around $25 more to get the tank, the Ni head, and the Ti head. Not a bad deal for new people, but most might not see the benefit. I will pay for the kit though, if nothing else it will add a few things to my ever growing collection.

joytech has been on the vaping game for years. They are a good company and im hoping their tc will work fine.Fine like dna40 fine not like smok80 fine :p
One thing that troubles me is these specs:
0.2Ω for CL-Ni head
0.4Ω for CL-Ti head

iS 0.2 very high for lower resistance?I mean the coils have to be massive

Maybe that is the upper limits. I think the video review posted gives the actual specs but I don't remember. I watched it last night when I was little "tipsy"...

The stock coils are marked that way. The Ni head is a .2 and the Ti head is a .4.

It goes down to .15 with Kanthal, so I would assume that it would go down lower for the temp control as well. Shame they don't have the specs listed for the full range in Ni and Ti.

just got an e-mail from vaportek, they also have it on pre-order....trustworthy vendor!
but the price is a bit high imo but still reasonable.
Joyetech eVic-VT VW Full Kit - 5000mAh

the Ni coils have a blue o-ring
Ti have red
and there were also some rebuild-able heads available, according to the video.

i'm buying a 18650 woodvil/challice combo today :w00t: or i'd be jumping on this now!
gotta wait till next month.

That's just the packaged heads. But that said, I try to build above 0.2 ohms on all my DNA40 type devices, just get better results and a lot less hassle with refinement or changing ambient temps. To accomplish that, I use regular annealed 30ga or 32ga Ni200 and quite normal sized coils. For that matter, I just keep building those same 0.2 coils for my SX Mini M as well, with the same good results, and maintain the ability to swap toppers across my mods.

I also get better ramp up times and markedly better battery life building higher ohm nickel builds with thinner wire.

And THAT said, the specs for the eVic VT states it'll fire down to 0.05, albeit limiting max wattage to 50w when firing that low, which should be a non-issue if you want to work with 28 or 26ga Ni200.

They have the specs listed from .05-1.0ohms for VT mode, and I'm pretty sure I saw that somewhere else, too.

I've never purchased during a pre-order before, but I might take the plunge on this one

edit: You beat me to it Croak :p
