So you all run from li-po's and then buy and use them near your face...... [emoji38][emoji38][emoji38]
I like living on the edge? :D
With all the talk of the evic-vt not working great in TC, glad I didn't buy it for TC, only used in normal power mode and has been working great for me, tried some TC coils on my ipv4 and did find the flavor slightly better, but nothing to make me want to go to TC full time, I'll stick with my kanthal builds for now :)
I think that the practical real life experience is quite good. The numbers just show it isn't a precision device but it does work well in TC from the user point of view. The whole mod is cheaper than a dna board so probably some cuts have been made.

Tony

Oh so many posts I can reply to now.. Tony I'm still laughing about the meteor!

so how long does it take to get to your temp limit if you don't vape, just holding the button?
Yeah

Yep that guy was me, first "click" in the morning always shows 100ºC.... well i still don't think that with a 0.5 sec. pulse i can get a res to 100ºC. If that was the case this device was unusable for vaping.

Have you ever vaped a kanthal build at 30w. Depending on the gauge used 1 second to full heat for me. 30-40w with 28g give me a 1 second flavorful large cloud that is up to temp while pulling.

Have you tried just turning the toggle to get the screen on instead of fire button?

Have you confirmed the mods internal teml reading by 5 click off - 10 clicks in a row? Will display mod temp in °c

This should help trouble shoot the issue

yes to all..why? i'm just trying to explain to the guy, that his mod doesn't think its at 100'C on standby, just gets there really fast..but we can't really get on the same page..even put it in the fridge over night, right?:)

I've checked that a few times on mine and interestingly it always says 25°C - actual temp is 21°C right now, and hasn't ever been 25+ any time I've checked it.

I've just left it on the window ledge with a window open to the cold night air, and will check it again in 10 to see if it says anything lower

Mine always says 30 but that's about right... Sort of.

Going to drop it in a cold bucket of ice water. Should cool it down a bit. Be right back.

OK after testing it on the window ledge, it read 20°C. A probe I left in the same place on the ledge reads 18°C. So my guess is it only displays (and measures?) in 5°C increments, and perhaps always rounds up: 18°C rounds to 20°C; 22°C rounds to 25°C, and presumably Tony's room temp is between 25 and 30 and so it shows 30°C.

Wasn't the VT waterproof? Or did I confuse it with the invader mini?

Upsssss....

Gotta get the hair dryer. Be back again...

Wait! The hair dryer is going to heat it up again! Make sure you check the temp before you use the dryer! Come on, it's for science.

I did... 25C so I confirm it only shows 5C increments. :)

My fish tank is at 27. 2C (fans are blowing on the surface to keep it cool) and it shows 30 C

:D :D

I read a lot of bad reviews about Gearbest but I placed an order anyway (57.99). Maybe it'll get here this summer. I'll test mine with an acetylene torch and some dry ice to see if it's accurately workin. By the time I get it the next version will prolly be out.

Mine jumped straight from 25 to 30c now. Just checked.

Enough VT for tonight. Have to try to fix my dna screen or order a new screen... Oh the caveats of a modern Vaper.

It was so much easier to just open a pack of cigs... Nowhere as fun though :)

yesterday when i clean up my drawer before going, i saw the ego one mega tank and feel so sorry for it, so pick it up put in the Ni coil head fill up prime it than start vaping it. Ni coil head still better than the Ti coil head but not good also.

Vaping in the car for 15 to 20 min, suddenly i get a very nasty dry hit, i tears cos by the dry hit, damn…..

Joyetech, you guys really need to improve it or there will be a lot of ego one mega tank in the street wasted.

I've had my eVic for a while now and I've still never heard any ticking, popping, humming, hissing etc coming from the mod itself. Even if I put it right to my ear in a completely quite room...... it's just perfectly silent.
You might be too old to hear the frequency. All VT are doing the bomb tick after a fire press for exactly 4 minutes.
