That's going to be a big coil........

I too found that at 0.10 to 0.15 this device performs the best but like was said before the coils are getting big. Making everything fit and work as suposed to is a challenge in some.

For testing purpose and since i was always getting 100ºC or more at starting point.... after taking it out the fridge it lowered to 75ºC. device temp was around 23ºC.

So one of two: this isn't calculating well or i need a new fridge.....:lol:

I'm using 30ga x 8 wraps on a 3mm. Keeps it very small. Coils just need to be spaced, not gaping. If you can fit another piece of wire in the gaps, that's too much. Keep em small enough to sit on top of the air hole. If it hangs over, it's not being cooled like the center. Temp protect is likely to kick in before your vape tastes and feels right.

Hard to say..... At such low ohms, heat up time is going to be pretty darn quick. I assume the algorithm is based on wire type coefficient, resistance and ambient temp. The second voltage is applied, resistance will start going up, do it's possible that it really is up to 75 C by the time it registers in the screen.... Just look how fast it gets up to 350, 400 etc..

Are you all using the silicone sleeve? I've had it on but in really tempted to go without it. This thing is too sexy for a sleeve.

I have the yellow evic-vt, when 1st got it, put the sleeve on and took it straight back off again, what is the point of having a good looking mod if going to cover it up, reminds me of people who leave the plastic wrap on their couches

I have the sleeve on. After a couple of days, the sleeve expanded a little so now it's actually a hazard when you're holding the mod top down as it can slip out of the sleeve.

Not sure if I should take it off or figure a way to make the sleeve stick better.

I noticed! Istick sleeves fit way more snug. Oh well this evic has a great grip, I'll be all good.

Ordered a vt from vapenw for $55.

What's strange is, VapeNW charges $55.99 for the VT alone, and $17.49 for the eGo One Mega tank alone, which comes to $73.48.

The kit with the two together sells for $75.99!

Do most of you suggest getting it with the tank, or is the tank nothing special? I don't really care about having a matching tank, if the tank isn't any better then the Kanger Sub mini, Silo Beast, etc., I'd pass on spending the extra money.

    Thanks for any feedback!

Depends on what you're used to.

Having an erlprinz and a mutation x, I can't see how this tank adds anything to my already existing experience. It's halfway between both. Better lung hits than the erlprinz but worse than the Mutation. Flavor worse than both. Size, bigger than both. Capacity as erlprinz nano. Pre made replaceable heads.. Not my cup of tea anymore. Noisier than both.

Get it without the tank. I used it for all of 10 minutes and then put the tank away. The wick holes on the coil are too small (they're about the size of the wick holes on the Nautilus coils).

Heat up time should be based on applied wattage, wire mass, coil turn-to-turn spacing and wick dampness with regulated devices. Res only really comes into play with unregulated devices and then only determines applied wattage.

From what I have gathered the tcr algorithm curve is based on wire type only and is fixed for either ni200 or G1ti. Where your temp starting point is on that curve is determined by the ambient coil res when you lock the res in. So if the info I read is correct the tcr curve will still remain the same but your temp will be off. So if you lock the res when coil temp is 80°f instead of of the prescribed 70°f your temp control will read 10° colder than your actual coil temp.

I wonder also about how fast the chipset is at measuring res but I read that the voltage applied to the coil to measure res is minuscule and shouldn't raise the coil temp much if any.

I bought a black sleeve, and it's fits a little tighter than the included clear sleeve.

I hate to cover it up, but the sleeve feels pretty good in my hand, plus I'm less likely to break my glass desk or coffee table

I meant res as in change of res...... The second you press the button, you are applying voltage, I was theorizing that the displayed "starting temp" isn't really the starting temp, but just the first displayed temp of the coil as it rises post applied voltage.

Res has everything to do with tc.....it's how there mod guesstimates the coil temp. The algorithm coefficient is based on wire type, but res is just as important, that's what the coefficient is all about :p

Skip the Ego One Mega. There are far better tanks out there to spend your money on. With high PG juice, I feel it's almost comparable to my Subtank Mini, but falls off quickly as the VG rises. As others have stated, the small wicking holes of the atomizer heads just don't keep up.
