Hey all,

Just picked up an eGo-C from a local vendor. After spending ~$80 on a kit, I'm starting to learn pretty quickly that it appears there are a multitude of "knock offs" from Joyetech. While I have no qualms with mine, it works great, I'm wondering if this is the norm? Do most simply buy what's cheap or do they want the original?

I ask because now that I really enjoy mine, I plan on purchasing one for my father. Debating about just giving him mine and spending a few more bucks on the Joyetech. The big difference I see with the online kits vs. what we found locally, is that online provides an additional battery + more tank tips. Locally I got:
- eGo-C re-packaged by "Vapor Mate"
- 1x 650mAh battery
- 1x atomizer
- 1x cone
- 2x tank tips
- 1x drip tank + atomizer
- 1x carrying case
- 1x usb charger

5ml of juice were $6 each and you get to try all flavors prior to buying, well worth it.

So, I may have spent a few extra bucks, but the extra money educated me in the world of ecigs and vaping ... definitely worth it as I was rather confused prior to this. Now that I'm enjoying this though, I want to learn more and continue to educate others. This whole concept of clones and knock offs is currently what I'm trying to figure out.

Thanks all!

Ugh ... so now this is making me think I should have a second battery. I wish the batteries had some kind of indicator on them. I see that there are also 1000mAh batteries, would that be the better choice? On top of that, storage is important pending on which route I go. What is the typical/recommended setup for the 901 (eGo-C - they're one in the same right)? This is really making me wish I didn't buy locally now ...

Here's some battery info:
100 mah= 1 hour vaping on Standrad Resistance single coil cartomizer before recharge
using a low resistance cartomizer dual coil cuts down on the battery life considerably.

You definitely want at least one backup battery. Remember that just about everything related to this type of PV is disposable/consumable. Some parts will last several days, some weeks and some months but just about everything will need to be replaced eventually. The eGo batteries are typically known to be pretty good quality for what they are but failures and premature death (battery, not you) do happen.

Wait a tick, eGo makes 501 and 901 correct? I have the eGo-C ... it's the bigger one, not like the normal sized cig, or the "100". It looks 100% identical to the one on the Joyetech website, it just doesn't say "Joyetech", but it does say "eGo-C" on the battery.

I get my Joye eGo batts and accessories from cignot. Her eGo-C kit is $88 and includes 2 batteries. Cignot may not be the cheapest in eGo style batts but prices are competitive, her response to questions is super fast as well as shipping.

https://www.cignot.com/product_p/kit-egc-all.htm

Included in this kit is 2 batteries, 2 eGo-C Type A atomizer bodies, 5 atomizer heads, 5 Tanks, 1 eGo fast USB charger, 1 AC to USB adapter, 1 pouch, 1 instruction sheet. You may select Regular resistance heads or Low resistance. The Low resistance burns hotter.

Interesting ... my colleague and I were both under the impression that the 510 vs. 901 was really in use to represent the size.

Nope.

So...

there is the

510 <--- cig size
eGo <-- fat .......

then various eGo clones... Riva, Kgo, etc....

But they are all 510 threaded and thus their atomisers and tanks etc. are interchangable.

It may not sound nice, but you really do need to READ as much as possible on these forums, before you:

1. waste a ton of money buying a ton of products that are not what your want/need

2. get discouraged by said purchases of ill suited products and return to smoking Analogs.
