I need real screws lol. And I think on my next build I'm going back to cotton. But so far... Drains well, and yummy, very yummy. Have to be careful with how close my coil is to the cap...

LOL is that not the smallest Allen key you've ever seen?!?

I feel like I'm gonna break the darn thing lol

I replaced my allens with spare RM2 post screws from Rob's site

Maybe when they lowered the drain hole they lowered the other hole too. Rob's screw might not be long enough. I know Super-x bought some longer screws that work.

Funny thing is it wasn't the post with the drain hole. I'll have to see about getting some longer screws.

Supe I can see why this WAS your favorite atty. it's pretty sweet. Waiting on a reply from my vape in regard to the hole position on the hornet they have... Worse cones to worse I get more cyclones, and a few hornets for their top caps lol

Yes we get along well my cyclones and I :)

It's still my favorite atty on my metal mods. I like chalices on the woods :)

I finally got the New Cyclone setup this morning and vaping, what an impressive little atty!! Love the bowl shaped floor and my juice hole is at floor level so absoloutly no issues with too much juice sitting in it which makes the hits VERY consistent. I will be swapping out the screws for RM2 extra screws that I have on hand, but I am loving it so much....got the coil placement perfect out the gate.....I see this thing being on my primary grand long term. Even the air hole is perfect size, no modding needed for the coils I build. I do have this setting on an LP grand which is my new primary and looks amazing as well. And finally my favorite attribute ALL stainless :)

When you refer to my vape for the Hornets are you referring to Myvapes.com?
I love my Hornet and it's the only RBA that fits on my old mini woody.
I can only find the TF model but no BF available anywhere?

Indy Vapor currently carries the BF Hornet :)

Indy Vapor has them listed but when you click on BF it says not available. :(

I checked out My Vape - kind of steep shipping charges! $20 least expensive method with possible 30 day delivery time ( long time to wait) and brings the price up to $89.00. 4-7 day delivery time is $49.00!! :(
I wish this wasn't the only RBA with a small enough diameter ( 12mm)to fit my mini - woody. :( Very limited on what I can use so that's why I might just break down and pay thru the nose so I can have a backup in case something happens to the one I have. I also heard that they will no longer produce them. Wish I knew if manufacturers of RBAs will come out with a small enough diameter (12 mm)to fit.

I dropped by Vicous Ant's office yesterday and got one. Apparently, the local dealers don't carry the bottom-fed version so I had to get one directly from Vicious Ant. Cost me about $49. :) I'm now on the hunt for an AFC cap. They didn't have one laying around the office so I have to go to one of their authorized dealers.

I haven't built it yet since I sent it to my friend who has a machine shop to drill an extra feed hole. My experience with the Hornet has taught me that if the feed hole is anywhere but on the bottom of the post (or deck-level) there is a tendency for fluid to remain on the deck. It won't flood but it causes performance to vary and adds a risk of spilling juice from the feed hole. I won't get it until me and my friend meets again (which may take a few weeks).

I'm in no rush though. This will go on a new Grand I'm planning to buy when the new contacts are out. The RM2 is serving me well anyway at the moment.

It is low (as low as the last few pics) but not as low as your extra feed hole Supe. :D I just want it as close to the deck as possible. Even with the low hole, I can imagine some juice stagnating on the concave deck.

If I weren't building micros this hole would probably do well enough. A larger coil and the extra wicking material that follows would suck-up excess juice. But I love my micros too much. :D

I use micros too. I like to flood mine up past the coil sometimes just cause.... It all drains away. Sooo quick. Deck is bone dry lol

Hmm... Interesting.. Now you got me thinking. Maybe I'll cancel the request to drill the atty and try it out first. :D

When I drilled my lower holes, the top of the hole is even with the deck. Squonks and drains great.
