I bought this bamboo, and it didn't need further preparation.

I boil the hemp in distilled water (2 boils with clean water for at least 30 minutes each).

I am getting 10 days to two weeks on the terminator with lovepedal 2mm hemp...

Thats pretty good... im playing around with cotton, and hemp and have a kayfun lite comming but only have some 1mm silica. Im thinking about trying it with hemp.. I love the fact that with hemp I know its safe but it seems to give all my juices the same hempy flavor.

How do you compare the taste to other materials?

Since I only do tobaccos, I kind of like the earthy taste from hemp on my juices. Probably not so good with bakery and fruit juices.

Im using 8 different tobaccos from hhv, just seems like it makes them all taste the same. Ive never used hemp over a day or two though, maybee I just need to let the coil/wick break in

I vape primarily light fruits...it's time thing, I'm not just used to that natural taste, I prefer it...I find silica gives my juices a harsh "industrial" or "chemical" taste that I just can't do any more...btw, it may be impractical for a lot of peeps because of energy costs but if you boil the Hemp for "hours" (not just 10-20 mins.) you'll get the same break-in period of about 5 mins vaping as you do on the Lydia's...it literally becomes inert taste wise after a super long boil...on my last batch I wrapped 25 yrds around this custom wire rack I made out of my silver mod wire, put it in a 4 quart pot, put the lid on and let it boil overnight on the wood stove...it even dried soft and supple, it had no fight left

I know it's an obscene amount of boil time but it really does make a difference...and even though I was pretty much sold on the Lydia's, I'm finding I'm reaching for the Hemp when my other units are due for a rebuild...I beat the crap outta wicks with 28 awg sub ohm coils...the bamboo tolerates a fair amount of heat for about 4-5 days but I've got Hemp wicks now that are double that and still vapable, obviously depending on your juice your mileage will vary.

That 2mm has been sourced by Etnico according to our specifications (2mm, 12 strand, twisted, natural), but yes agree we didn't test it yet.

FWIW their 1mm/7 was almost up to par with Lovepdal's one, good enough in other words, so I'm confident (hoping) the new 2mm should be good enough as well.

Gonna buy some next week, will let you know.

I'm using their 1mm at the moment, am finding everything that isnt restricted in some way overwicks to the point i get very little vapour and too much throat hit... on 3x1mm and 4x1mm in drippers. Have you any tips for me? I'll try this 2mm also.

I had a bit of an idea that some here might want to think about, I use my (new since my last post here) IGO-L on the move and i really don't want to be getting juicy pockets or having to drip constantly. I was looking at atties like the GP Spheroid that use a polyfill like Sera to hold their juice and it struck a chord

Ordered a pack of juwel pads, cut a small strip off, folded it over twice, then wrapped a single strand seperated from my 1mm hemp around it to keep it together like a little package and to try and stop hairs of it getting to my coil during firing. This i pushed the ends of my wicks through and pushed behind the posts. The IGO-L now holds a lot more juice - just how much i can't say but it's more a squirting atomiser than a dripping atomiser now, seems to help with my overwicking problems too. It's far from perfect as i get the warning of an impending dry hit when there is still plenty of juice in the Juwel material.. needs developing... no more leaks from the air hole though

In many years of vaping I have never had an overwicking, and gave up on any poly or synthetic filler years ago as any fumes from them are nasty. If my coil gets too wet I just boost the V a little and it clears up. My last 2mm from lovepedal is actually a 3mm and in my IGO- L with an Oval 30g it hold several squirts and steady chain vaping fpr 30 min.

my standard config for drippers is made of 4x 1mm (by etnico in fact), but I've never ever experienced overwicking at all... keep in mind I'm a serial chainvaper though

Have you tried to 'strangle' the hemp a little more, by tightening the res wire around it? Or else, you may try raising your voltage. Last option, use bigger diameter twine, like a 2mm: I find 2x 2mm to recover less rapidly than 4x 1mm setups (especially with my infamous triple draws).

Speaking of Etnico: I've recently tried their 2mm twine, and unfortunately isn't that good IMO... I'd say average.

Very stiff before boiling, huge size afterwards (I'd say 3+ mm, bordering on 4), 12 very tigthly packed strands. Good capillarity overall, but I still prefer NaturellementChanvre's 1.5mm or Rawganique's 2mm given a choice.

The only add-on I know of for 'spheroid-izing' something is this contraption, which mods a standard A7 into a spheroid wannabe; no clues if it may be adapted to fit an IGO (heck for all I know it may fit as it is).

Anyway personally I'd just cram more hemp into the IGO, instead of using wool of sorts, but that's just me

I only like bakery and a little fruit juices and don't notice any earthy taste after a few minutes of vaping. BJ43, I looked on etsy for some of lovepedals 2mm hemp but all I see is the beeswix. How do I find the correct hemp. Thanks
