Ok so your probably asking "what is this about a new foot?" For just a little background info on why I have this brand new toy is this: when I was six years old I had a lawnmower accident and lost my foot up to my heel. I have since had many different Prosthetics, but none as cool as this one. In the last year or two I have been having many problems with my leg being weak, and hurting. I found out when being fitted for this new prosthetic that my ankle bones are gone, and my lower leg has atrophied. Arthritis in my hips and knees, with lower back problems has caused a lot of issues. Finally a prosthetic doc got me something that I really needed and I just wanted to share it with you all as I feel that FSUSA has become family. So here's the pics guys of something I am really proud of besides just quitting smoking. :) feel free to ask questions if you want.

I can't see the pics but wanted to congratulate you anyway. I am all too familiar with athritis and the pain associated with it especially in the spine. I have arthritis in my facet joints and knees and can only imagine what you endure. I am so glad that you found something to make it even a little easier for you.

Thanks salem and I just fixed the pics. Lol I had the wrong addy to them in there.

Oh goodness that can be painful! It makes it very hard to walk around or do anything some days doesn't it. :(

Yeah this thing really helps cusion my knee. I am three inches shorter on my left side because of the accident. This makes things feel better and I don't think I will need my cane. :)

OH
That is one very "Sweet" looking foot.
By the way - when I was about 6 I too had an accident with a riding lawn mower. The blades had been removed but the mower backed up on my foot and it got caught up in the chain. Although I was much luckier than you were due to the fact that I was wearing leather shoes at the time so my foot just got mangled.
Congrats on your new "toy"

Thanks and I love that I got to pick the lightening bolts on it.

We have a really old personalized set hanging in the garage. I don't know why, but they just add something. Lol

Thank you. It costs just under 4000. Vocational rehabilitation paid for it. My payment to them is that I have to get an at home job. I just can't figure out what to do part time from home though. Lol

Thanks so much. It kills me the cool things they can do these days from when I first started. Its kinda like our ecigs evolving. Lol

Oh believe me Kat and I talked a lot about doing that. I would love to do it here and get people off analogs, but I've never started a business and then there's the funds as well. Lol

Snazzy foot ya got. Super happy for you Shell, and Kat, now she can tell you to get it yourself without much guilt lol.
I was in Wy way back, just passin through. Bought a cheap $100 car just to get a plate, and not get a rental. It was a smoking heap of :censored:. We got to Mt, blew it up and sold it for scrape, took a bus from there. Their's WAY more to this story, but i can't say... Plates hangin on the garage wall...:2cool:

Wow, that is one high-tech piece of hardware! Not only does it look good, but it looks comfortable, too. That's really important. Congrats.

I have an ankle that's wrecked from a horseback riding accident many years ago, and I have a brace that goes up to my knee I'm supposed to wear that's dang uncomfortable, so I hardly ever wear it any more. I'd rather limp and deal with the pain, even though it messes with my back and opposite knee. I wish they'd make something nice like that for me to use!

Don't give her any ideas. Its going to suck when she has a job.

Hope you made your 100 back. Lol sounds like a very interesting time. :)

Thanks, and yeah so far it is pretty comfortable. I was floored when he told me it has memory foam in it.

I have had a couple that weren't so comfortable, and comfort is a big key for us gimpy people.

You should go and see if they can't make you a new one like this. They do have them where they just have the brace that goes along the bottom of the foot. With it going up to your knee like this one does for me I believe that it will probably help you. I didn't think there was anything that would help me have better support, but this thing so far makes things feel better. We shall see how it goes in the next couple of days. Lol usually I get blisters from new Prosthetics made. But I am hoping that this one doesn't cause this issue. Seriously you need to get a new brace. I have to say that if this keeps me from having to use my cane I will be thrilled!

Oh and guys I would have taken pics of my eight year old prosthetic, but its out in the car in the back seat. Lol
