Once your battery is charged slap an evod on it get some nic in your system. Then try one of the coils you have washed out. Put the gasket back to it's original position. Make sure you give the wick enough time to get fully soaked and try it again. If you still have trouble with it don't spend 5 hours fighting with it before you ask for help. :) There are alot of PT users on the forum we will get you sorted out.

Mrs. C, I think if/when the OP does this, once they hit snug on putting the tank on, maybe they should do a quarter turn counterclockwise to see if airflow improves.
It seems that not all tanks work on all batteries even if the threads are the same.

Always something new to learn. Glad I stopped in the thread.

The guy at the electronic cigarette shop was eager to get it in my hands.... glad its a known problem also. Ill look into it, but im not liking the idea of dropping cash on a battery to see if it will work with a tank that I already dont like haha.

No. I am not suggesting a new battery. There are airflow devices for 3-4 bucks... I will see if I can find a couple for you.

:)

one solution.

Dude I was having the exact same problem with mine. Everything would taste burnt, it would leak crazy and hardly any vapor.

First thing I did to fix the problem was go buy 1.8 ohm heads. Put them in and let them soak for about 5-10 min. Then I slowly ramped the atty. Start it on the lowest voltage setting and pulse it a few time. And slowly start to raise the voltage doing the same process.

Mine works perfectly for me now. I keep it set at 3.3v and the flavor is spot on and the juice lasts a whole hell of a lot longer.

I'm sorry you are having problems with your tank. Never a fun experience :(

It sounds like the juice isn't wicking properly..."Worked fine for the first 2 hits then i got the burnt taste". And yet you had the same trouble with a cotton wick... hmmm. I just got a protank but have yet to use it. But I have enlarged the airflow hole which is located just above the threads where it attaches to the battery/mod.
This helped me with my Davide BCC.
Going to juce up the protank and see what happens now.
Good luck and I'll check in after I try mine.

Since you have no problems with your eVods, try putting a coil know to work well in your PT. It may help eliminate some variables.

I actually tried this, because i figured if it workes in the eVod it should work in the protank, they are interchangable, i got a better draw from doing that, but the same problems existed, i just ruined the atty, its got a taste that i cant get out of it now.

I guess i understand how the first one might help, but the second one looks just like the threading on my ego twist.

The second is just an adapter for devices that do not have ego threading. It can sometimes help with the airflow issues in PT2. The first link to the actual airflow controller would be a good bet. That site is sold out but Tank Airflow Controller has them in stock. I might pick one up so I can use my protank on my magneto. One thing you can try in the mean time is to put the "beauty ring" from the PT2 on your ego twist. Screw it down tight then back it off about 1/2 turn, hold on to it and tighten your Protank down to that. That's what the people at my local vape shop suggested. It worked alright until I found a better solution.

The 4 atomizers on the right all taste burnt, i grabbed a new one out, stuck it in the protank, filled it up, and flipped it over to let the wick soak so when i try it again i might get better results, the atomizers are 2.4 ohms +- .2 ohms

I had a similar experience with iClear30s. Horrible taste no matter what I did. It turned out it was the tank. It just had a chemical taste that would not wash out. See if the shop will exchange it and you might have better luck.

I'm vaping on a Protank 2 right now with a knock off head from Fasttech. I only bought these cheap heads to try rebuilding on and never expected them to work well. I'm only half a tank in, but so far so good.
Good luck and keep trying!

Hate to say this, but Kanger Protank heads don't come with a 2.4 ohm. they have 1.8ohm, 2.1ohm, 2.5 ohm and their box looks different that what is in your pic.

I know if these are evod heads it should not make a difference, but my concern is they may be knock offs as opposed to the real ones.

Well guess who got screwed... anywho... I gave it another shot, making sure there is enough airflow, im still getting a tiny bit of gurgling now and then. And I cannot get the atomizer to wick correctly. I think the tank is part of the problem but not the main issue. Im not sure what to do to get it to wick right.

Hi, everyone, I'm new to the forum (I've been lurking in the backgroung reading for a month). I'm 4 weeks of cigs today!
I might be barking up the wrong tree here, so any feedback would be great...
I have 4 Kanger PT2's and have had mixed success, the first 2 i bought from a shop in Birmingham (UK) Innovappours, they are great and have given me no problems, I haven't had to do anything to them, other than clean them out every so often. I do sometimes get a mild burnt taste if I turn it up too much but nothing major (11% Nic 80% PG / 20% VG) using a Vamo. Thought these were great so a bought another 2, the second time off ebay (listed as genuine) - these I have had loads of problems with; They came in what looked like the correct packaging with the Kanger hologram seal, however there was no beauty ring in the 2nd 2 that I bought, the image on the box is fainter that the first ones I bought and the red colour on the box is a bit darker. These have gurgled, tasted burt and the drip tip that came with one, just falls out it's so loose. Are there a lot of fake kanger pT2's floating around or have I just got a different batch and they are inconsitent with the quality? The lack of beauty rings and subtle differences in the box make me think fake, but wondered if anyone knew? Opinion seems so divided on these tanks I wondered if that was the reason? I also bought some heads for them off ebay, again in all the correct packaging but the box says 2.2 and my Vamo measures them at 2.7!
