Do any of you use rayon or readywick, any of those longer lasting wick options? The cotton is fine but it would be nice to have something that could go amcouple of months like a coil..
I use Ekowool in all my tanks and it lasts a long time.

I just started using rayon. I can discern a little boost in flavor, but slightly less vapor volume compared to Sally's cotton coil. The rayon I'm using is Graham brand in the blue box that looks exactly like Sally's. the local Sally's store doesn't carry the big box of rayon, only the small blue Cellucotton package that is actually cotton instead of rayon.

I'm going to have to experiment with my rayon builds. My first rayon coil has puffy sections on each side of the coil and I trimmed the tails to fit the juice deck. It's good, but not as good as I expected from rayon. I guess I haven't hit the magic combo of center thickness vs tail size.

What I have is really rayon, though. It's squeaky when you roll it in your fingers, unlike cotton.

Hi to all! nice to be here. I have very recently went into the rebuildable systems and purchased a Kayfune Lite Plus. The main reason for doing this is to increase my satisfaction especially since following a solid 8 month period without a cig, I found myself wanting to smoke again.
The guy in the shop who first setup my kayfun showing me the ins and outs, did something that I would like your opinion about: he unscrewed the very small screw at the bottom that regulates the airflow(?) and REMOVED a tiny ball from in there! (I have the ball). Is this something that is recommended by you? or should I put it back again?
Thank you in advace!

I have no idea what this little ball is. Never heard of such a thing. However, many people have removed the airflow screw. Your kayfun should be just fine without the screw (and ball).

Could he be talking about a Fill Port with the ball???

I've removed the screw next to the air port and far as I know there's no check ball in there. Mine doesn't make a difference unless I screw it all the way in so that it begins to block the air port duct. I think it just intersects the other air tube and blocks it once you screw it far enough in. I keep it flush with the outside and don't really notice more air flow if the screw is removed completely.

Mine is a Tobeco Kayfun 3.1.

Mine's a Tobeco Kayfun 3.1 that I ordered in June 2014. No ball in the air hole screw adjustment. I've used a tiny jeweler's screwdriver to check with the screw out and all I feel is the bottom of the metal air channel hole. I have read where people removed it because it sticks and reduces airflow. Maybe it was taken out of the design because of that. If I screw the adjustment in all the way I can't tell a difference until it is almost bottomed out. Then, there's an adjustment range at that point. I can close off the air flow using the screw.

From what I can tell, the screw intersects the primary air channel and reduces the size of that channel by impeding flow as it protrudes into the primary channel.

Somewhere I read about this ball. I think it was like a check valve kind of thing on the fill hole.???
There was one of those on the 3.1 and on the mini 2.1. They were talking about something different.

was a small "green" ball under the airflow screw for the "lite plus". I remember reading about it, but i have v1 lites, so no airflow adjustment. I thought it was removed after a few months in production, probably a few out there. Works fine with it removed, little more airflow.
