Pardon the silly question, but I have often wondered what people mean by the word "intellectual." Are they referring to philosophers, teachers, scientists, doctors, etc. etc.?

Not necessarily any of that. I would say it's anyone who spends a lot of time with books, both fiction and non. My husband is smart as hell, and reads very well, but doesn't read for pleasure at all, only if there's something he needs to learn. My son and I, on the other hand, read a great deal, primarily for pleasure, even nonfiction for the pleasure of learning more about things that interest us. I would also venture that intellectuals rarely say things like "how'd you know that?" They go find what they want or need to learn, and they don't find it freakish to learn things for pleasure, or just read for pleasure, as so many nowadays apparently do find it freakish to take great joy in books. Learning is joyous, not a chore.

I've always taken it as someone who is educated, not necessarily by formal schooling, that can carry on a well informed conversation on a variety of subjects. Some folks however, use the term in a derogatory manner and I understand what they mean by that too.

I guess you could refer to those astute ECF members to be narrowly focused intellectuals when it comes to knowing everything there is to know (or more than the average bear) about ecigs.

I always took the term to apply to those who earned high level degrees in philosophical fields. Or, people who are driven to know everything there is to know about multiple subjects.

Lately it's mostly those who think they know everything about anything and really know nothing and will regail you with their total lack of knowledge until the liquor runs out.:w00t::lol:

That, and you never know if the custom build picture they posted came from Google Images or their own cell phone camera.

People sometimes resent intellectuals because they feel they are being "talked to." I personally would not mind listening if the person doing the talking has good knowledge to back up the talk.

I am currently using a billow v2. I am intending to get a kayfun lite. However can any of you experts tell me the diff between a kayfun lite and kayfun lite+? Which will be a better buy?

I always used the KFL+ base never the KFL so I am unable to tell the difference.

Kayfun Lite Plus added an extra air hole and has two air adjustment screws. The actual guts of them both are exactly the same as far as I can tell. The air adjustment screws on the KF or the KFL don't do much if you ask me. I just take em out. Still doesn't open em up a whole lot. To get better airflow they'd have to enlarge the hole in the post and that's hard to do. There's a kit that somebody posted here that has a replacement post that's missing half the post that they say opens it up pretty good. I know, more answer than they ask for.
