A lot of the KFL bases on FT are pure junk, it's really a hit and miss for quality. You would be much better off if you can find an EH Pro version of the kayfun Lite V2.
Such as here:
EHPro Kayfun price, harga in Malaysia, wts in - lelong

Many thanks. Good to know EHPro is available here. Never owned an EHPro but have heard they are perhaps slightly better quality.
However, I would still need to make it topfill due to my own disability.

Bronze. Many thanks for taking the time to reply, but as others have said, I am looking for help in making up a couple of Kayfuns from the available parts on FT. Just too many to choose from without guidance, and the parts that I like seem to be discontinued.
Anyway, maybe someone will kindly help.

I have a kayfun Lite which I have hardly ever used. If you are located in the US, I can let you have it at no cost.

Very kind of you to offer, but sadly I am not in the US, and postage to here would be excessive. Do appreciate the offer though.
Still trying to make sense of the Kayfun parts compatibility list, so hope to narrow down the choice maybe.

So I have had my two KFL+ for a few weeks and I gotta say that they are great tanks. It took me a while to nail the wicking and refilling, but since I figured that out (with help from some of you here), I haven't had a drip leak or a dry hit in a couple of weeks.

I might have to grab a couple more. :)

Just make sure the ends of your wicks touch the horizontal deck. Don't need any more or any less. Saturate the wicks with juice. Paste the wicks against the posi block wall and just be sure the ends touch the deck. Do this with the chimney off so you can see your work. Once happy with it then screw the chimney on.

Oh... never thought of that! I've wicked dry. I've been trying to do it like the original Kanger RBA decks. That seemed to work pretty good but if I just want it touching the deck, I've been using too much wick. Thanks !

Redid mine wet like the picture yesterday and it seems to be working great! The only problem I had was screwing the chimney on wanted to pull the one tail off to the side. I used a piece of Kanthal and rearranged it after I had it screwed on.
Trim a little cotton off the sides of the tail. They shouldn't move if you have them pasted on the sides unless you have a lot of cotton.
