If you really must fill from the top (like when a screw driver isn't avail,
1) press finger/thumb firmly over airhole
2) unscrew top cap
3) fill up, leave some space at the top
4) screw on top cap until the threads catch some
5) turn atty upside down until air bubble reaches the base (which is now in top)
6) remove finger, and screw top cap on firmly
This reduces the chance of flooding while filling.

Thats exactly the way I do it and did it on the BE I thought. Must have screwed up somewhere along the way.
Also, for your dining and dancing pleasure, the BE does not WHISTLE like the EHPro. yo ho ho!!

Are you looking for the thread size of the screws to buy replacements?
If so the post screws for the kayfun are stainless steel M1.6x3mm pan head. You can also buy screws with different style heads.

I also had 6 arrive yesterday. (Gifts for friends, not all me!)
Turned out only my first BE had weird threads. All the 6 I got yesterday had threads that were compatible with just about everything I tried on it. Fancy that!

Hey fellas, I bought a pre-order black from custommods on the 11th but haven't gotten so much as a peep from this guy. I know it's supposed to ship in two weeks and tomorrow is the two week mark, but I'm surprised I haven't been sent anything other than the PayPal receipt. No tracking info or anything. Is it normal for PayPal purchases to not show a tracking number? I don't ever use it.
You'll receive an email with the tracking the moment he sets up the shipping label.
In any case, drop that fella an email. He's not the friendliest fella around and you will get a short reply, but at least he's really good at gettin back to queries.
Also as with most preorders, well, delays are almost the norm. And you'll never know if they decide to spring the "2 weeks as in, 2 working weeks..." Line on ya. In that case add another 4 days to it lolololol

how is the ehpro kfl+ compared to the black edition? It would be highly appreciated if someone that owns both shed some light on it as far as build quality and fitting goes -- and then some

The Ehpro overall manufacturing quality seems to be slightly better, but I do not prefer it to the newest version of the BE.
They have the same size airhole, but the draw can be made airier on the BE. The juice channels are MUCH better on the BE as well. Again, they don't look as nicely machined, but they function a ton better. I can put 100% VG through the new BE without an issue, where I've had issue with thick 50/50 juices in the Ehpro.
I do own both. I have 3 Ehpro KFLs and 8 new BE KFLs. In my rotation of 12 tanks I'm currently only using authentics (KFL v2, R91 v2) and new BEs though. The Ehpros are sitting in my cabinet, all boxed up.

I should also mention that the Ehpro is BETTER than the original BE.
Do you have any KFL+ Ehpro ? I am eying a KFL+ v2 clone on ebay right now

My post was referring to all the latest from each manufacturer. All 3 of my Ehrpo clones are KFL+. The KFL+ v2 which just became available incorporates the slightly newer top cap design, but Ehpro did NOT change their base at all meaning the juice channels are still too small.
This is the biggest problem with the Ehpro and other clones in my opinion. Both Svoemesto and UCT changed their designs regarding the juice wells on their authentic products in their v2 revisions.
So far only the newest BE has these larger juice channels, like the authentics. Personally I could care less about a new top cap and slightly better drip tip. I need that airflow and proper wicking.
Whats BE? So you have the new Ehpro KFL+ V2? I am just debating on what to get right now and your help is appreciated.
