Ok, has anyone bought the BLACK colored BE kayfun lite plus from Artemus. If so, how does it compare to the regular one from Artemus?

Aww crap... I just got 60mls of juice at 12mg thinking that'd be a good cut back from my usual 18.

LOL I was at 18 for past few months...Last batch I bought was all 12 thinking that would be perfect for the Kayfun.. I was legit getting lightheaded after 3-4 hits no matter what.. it was crazy.. Now I'm afraid 6mg won't have enough of a TH .. sucks being in between levels like I am.
Personally I've just dealt with a diminished TH for a bit when dropping nic levels. It takes my body about a week to adjust. 6mg is the absolute highest I can go now in a Kayfun without scorching my throat.
Even 1mg juice packs a punch at very high power.

Yea I feel like I just need to give it some time.. glad theres some hope in my future lol. Sucks having my new Kayfun sitting around looking all empty and lonely!
You can cut the nicotine in your 12mg juice with glycerine (VG). Easy to find at walmart or a drug store; its under $4 for 6 oz. Just dilute it 50/50 and you have 6 mg juice. Saves lots of money too. I like the decreased flavor too because the normal flavor level is too strong for me on a kayfun.
You could also buy 0mg juice and just mix equal parts with your 12mg juice to achieve 6mg.

Checked it out. It says: "air-flow adjustment on the bottom" (like most of the clones I've seen).
Are there any Kayfun clones that have the air-flow control somewhere else (so you don't have to remove it from the mod just to adjust the air flow)?
I'm pretty certain that part of what made it light, ie. smaller than the full sized Kayfun, was moving the AFC from the side to the bottom. Which means no chance of finding a light with side control.

Russian 91% has airflow control on the side. I've never had the need to adjust airflow once its been set though.

Wow, yall weren't kidding about the post screws. I can't get the wire to stay under the screw head, just keeps popping out. :/

You could try a Russian 91% V2 clone. I'm waiting for one from eBay right now. Hopefully it'll work better than the supremely sucking BE that I have right now...
You get the approximate size of a KFL+ clone plus side airflow control. If you get the right 91% clone the fill screw will be on the bottom like a KFL+.
If this one doesn't work for me I'm going back to 3.1's and just use nano kits on all of them...

I have one with the air adjustment on the side. Rarely use it though, whistles like crazy sounds like I'm playing a flute.
Finally managed to get it coiled. Came out to 1.9ohms, a good bit higher than I wanted but considering how much I messed with the coil to actually get it caught under the screw, I'm ok with it.
Took a few hard primer pulls 'til I saw a bubble or two float up and took a drag.
First drag was underwhelming - not horrible, but on the upper end of a dry hit.
Second drag was impressive. I've got ECBlends RY4 in there, which I usually vape in a rebuilt evod head that's pretty good compared to stock heads. This draw didn't have more flavor per se than I'm used to, but it brought out other parts of the juice I haven't tasted before. Got me excited.
Third drag was scorching hellfire as if Satan was invading my lungs.
I'll mess around with the wicking to see what I can get. Just started with the basic wick pattern laying down on either side of the mounting deck with the ends barely touching the juice wells.

What kind of mod are you using it on? Boiled cotton? Voltage? Wattage? Air adjustment? VG/PG%? And so on.... There are alot of variables to the performance you will get.
SVD, organic cotton, 12 watts, AFS removed, 70/30 pg/vg.
Wasn't really asking anyone for help, was more or less reporting what I've seen. I'm sure it has to do with my wick layout. I just used the navy nest method and it's doing better.
Also, this is my first ever build on anything that's not a clearo. I'm sure my coil could use some tweaking as well.

Latest report on BE...
Washed yet again - my BE really had a lot of oil on it, I think after the fourth wash I finally got it all off.
Rewicked - with a just enough cotton to lay on the upper deck in an L shape (Rip Tripper's style)
Voltage - down to 3.3v (@1.8 ohms)
Liquid - here's where I think the biggest difference came from. I was vaping 50/50 straight menthol 18mg and getting scorched hits even at 3 volts on my Provari and after listening here and searching other forums I decided to try a lower nic. I took some 18mg and cut it 50% with 0 nic VG. Much better but the taste was really off. Today I found some 0 nic 50/50 of my regular menthol that I put away to sell. BINGO!!!! No more scorched hits and tons of vapor and flavor. Finally!!!! Now I just have to find the right level to order between my normal 18mg and 0mg. I can't do 0 nic for long lol.
