in the mean time if you have 32 gauge kanthol (maybe 30 will work too) you can take the negative screw out of the post, put a piece of kanthol in and have it sticking out. then press the screw into the post and it should tighten down just fine, its how ive been doing it for the past few builds. Im sure theres a way to use a tap and rethread the post hole to a slightly larger size to use another screw to fit it which is what ill be doing if my replacement screws are a no go.

Unfortunately i dont have any 32g kanthal. And i have recontacted the seller to find out what to do if the screws dont fix it and the post in stripped. He told me that he would replace the bottom deck at that point. So i will have this working right. It is just a matter of time now. I hate waiting.

Let us know how those replacement screws work out.

Just a first impression, but the "Black Russian" clone is proving to be a LOT more forgiving than the Kayfun Lite Black Edition. The juice channels are deeper so the wicking issues (constant dry hits) I'm having with the KFL Black Edition just aren't there. Build quality seems quite good on both. Now that I KNOW the problems I'm having with the KFL Black ARE the shallow juice channels, I'm hell-bent on fixing them.

Broke off the bit in the .......n airhole.. :/ Oh well, only $50.. at least I got some spare parts out of it.

One of these days I guess I'll have to break down and get a drill press.

Man. That sucks. I was going to caution about those bits. I use them to drill bolts to safety wire race bikes and break the bits on a pretty regular basis.

Go slow and use plenty of cutting oil. Use good bits, stay away from the cheap crap like Vermont American and Harbor Freight.

The black Russian is available directly from j-stream for $19 in either finish.

(It's not actually called the black Russian, for the record, it just comes in a black box. J-Stream actually apologized to me for shipping them in the black boxes instead of their normal boxes)

This was super helpful - thanks Zip. Now it's down to the black russian (if the seller ever relists it), the Kayfun silver from the same seller, or the J-stream one if I can ever find the link :)

They're all 'the j-stream one', lol, it's just whether you want to get it straight from the manufacturer or through eBay.

With DHL express shipping, my kayfun left China at 8pm PST, January 23, and arrived at my door at 3:30pm PST, January 24th.

You got a link for that? All my Google-foo turned up was a jewish music streaming service and a internet advertising company.
