Cotton Wicking - Thought I'd share this.
If worried about over packing causing dry hit/coil choking OR a to thin wick, causing Flooding, go with your second option.
Less is more is still the safest bet, even in a Kayfun and is easily controlled.
Build your coil - 5/64" seems most common(I use 14ga. needle)
Fit your wick for good coil contact - Should be snug NOT tight
Cut wick length at outer Base edge
Wet wick tips and pin against coil riser
Carefully install Stack - Not disturbing Wick
**
Roll out another length of cotton a bit smaller and looser than the wick. Length equal to Circumference of Stack**
*Install second wick inside the stack in a circle against the Stack
*Lightly press to seat around coil riser and covering both Juice well areas(NOT INTO) resting on Coil wick
*Add Several Drops of e-liquid before testing and closing everything up. ( I do about 10 drops)
This is a cotton variation of the Navy Nest that I use to bring additional e-liquid up to the level of the coil. It acts as a reserve, aids in avoiding Flooding, allows for a thinner more fluid(functional) wick and does not interfere with air flow.
Practice makes perfect
