I got my tobeco v2 in (same crap as the black edition). I've noticed that when u screw on the bottom chimney the juice channels are indeed shallow. But when u take it off the channels are the same as my R91. I got no dry hits so far though

But I do want to add that I clipped the ending it the center pin insulator that covered part of the center pin airhole, removed the airflow screw completely and the draw is still a tighter then my kfl+ and Russian 91.

How does it stack up against the Hcigar 3.1 quality wise?

They're both very good, but the HCigar was not without its issues.....For one, the air adjust screw was stripped right out of the box....so when I went to adjust the screw, it just slipped all the way into the hole, completely blocking airflow...I then have to take the collector tank apart and push the air adjust screw back out.....Now I just leave it all the way out towards me and it seems to be OK....

Other than that, the HCigar 3.1 is very nice. I am sure the stripped air adj. screw is not a common problem, so I would not let that keep you from buying one.....

Which one do I like more? well, it's hard to say. The Black Ed. KFL+ came with very smooth threads and almost no smell of machine oil on it...the HCigar 3.1 had a lot of machine oil on it.....I think the fit & finish might be a tad better with the Black Ed., but not by much....You really can't go wrong with either one.....

OK well I filed down the center pin bottom insulator and slapped a .8ohm twisted 28 microcoil and much better. Though I think a weakness here would def be the chimney. The juice wells are fine but then the bottom chimney piece isn't threaded as nice as the r91 or authentics because I noticed the same wick method I'd use on my r91 didn't really fit when attaching the bottom. When screwing them on they would move my wicks unlike on my r91 I'd be able to screw it them on without the wicks moving or catching on the threads. Also even with the filed down insulator the draw was def still tighter with the airscrew completely off compared to my R91 with AFC all the way open. Other then that it vapes great.

Got mine a few days ago. This is my 1st version of any kayfun clone and im really impressed by it, Got the nemesis clone on the same day.
A bit tough for me to build because of the tight space but i managed. I assume it would be easier with something other than 27g wire but that's all i had.
I have since fixed the firing button it isnt nearly as janky looking now.

Pretty sure that's in 18350 mode. If so....

27 gauge. Mech mod. 18350 battery. Sounds like a recipe for disaster. Hope you're using some kinda battery with a suitable current discharge rating.....

It was set up at 1.3 ohms. I have since moved onto the the next size up (cant remember the size right now) because I was a bit worried myself. No way I would run a sub ohm setup with a battery that small. Running all aw imr batteries.

To people commenting on the draw:

I opened up my draw a little by enlarging the air hole in the center pin, the one that was partially blocked by the isolator. I didn't drill it out to a larger diameter, I instead extended it into an oval shape with beveled edges.

Keep in mind the draw will ultimately be limited by the inner diameter of the center post, and the side air intake. The side intake and its corresponding air passage in the center pin can be enlarged slightly.

The looser the draw, the less suction for wicking obviously.

A couple of weeks ago I ordered 2 KFL+BCs and just coiled and wicked the first one (1.3ohm micro with cotton) and it works great! It had no machine oil odour and when I stripped it down and scrubbed it, the only noticeable sign of need was the tip.

It wasn't hard to put back together - being mindful of the air hole - but like others have said, the screws were a bit of a pain so I swapped them out with spares from my original KFL+s and although they didn't fit much better, they do have that slightly larger top so were easier to coil.

The juice channels pose no problems at all with a 50/50 e-liquid, and with the air hole screw adjusted flush with the bottom, it seems a bit airier than my originals. Because of the screws I probably won't order any more but I'm not sorry I got these (providing the second one goes the same). I can't resist the originals though. I have another scheduled to arrive tomorrow. Can't wait! ;)

I'm really hoping that eBay vendor starts relisting the Black Russians. That is the one I'm waiting to pull the trigger on!

:vapor:

There's already a listing for it, although the pricing is currently at 399.90. That's because he's currently waiting for stocks to come in. When that happens he will change the price back to normal.

He also mentioned that the new Black Russians will have 2 design changes although he wouldn't specify what they are. My bet is that it'll have the true adjustable 510 connection. Not sure what the other change is though

Well, there's a new Kayfun Lite Plus coming out (actually, it's out) w/ a new top cap and drip tip, so if the black doesn't have this new design, it's going to fall behind the wayside.

I'll be on that new design like flies to sh**.! I already have the Black Russian version he sold and it's the best damned tank I ever owned.

4 juice channels in the base doesn't really make sense for the set up, UNLESS you're actually talking about the Aqua. it works almost exactly like the KFL, except it has kinda like 2 decks for dual coil builds. It has sometimes been refered to as a kayfun clone
