Dropped my provari and now my kfl is crooked and the plastic is cross threaded with the metal ring

Any ideas how to get it without taking pliers to it and running the plastic?

Lord, you're not saying the cross threading has anything to do with you dropping it do you?

As for the crookedness, that ought to straighten out cuz the pin in the Provari has some give. I would clean and dry the outside of that tank and try unscrewing it with your muscles. Do you have one of those grip thingies for jar lids? If you must take pliers to it (ouch), be sure to wrap a fluffy towel around the plastic. Hopefully your plastic threads wont be too damaged. Clean off any burrs and try screwing it back on...carefully!

Good luck. Let us know the outcome. Might have to pull the stainless steel segment out of your KF box and go with that until you can get a replacement window segment.

wow u guys....do it ...dont do it....i am itching to buy the nemmie....there is a big BUT....
i would rather wait for the naval brass to reappear- IMHO that makes more sense at the moment than a kalafan or vaporwall...
i would trade a zen sw camo for a brass nemie.....this is JUST a thought thrown out...lol

Yes, the Kayfun doesn't make the best travel mate.

I would be wary of flying with a filled Kayfun. The pressure change in tge airplane woukd equal flood city into the chamberand out the air hole or driptip depending on the orientation of the KFL.

In fact I had leakage and flooding issues with the BCCs I had when I took a trip to Texas two weeks into vaping.

I woukd suggest cartos, drippers or spberoids for flying.

Starting Monday this will be my on the go kit for the entire day with maybe an extra 18500 and a piece of paper towel in the empty pouch.

Last time I took a road trip, I put rolls of toilet paper in the center console of my truck, and stood the mods, with the gennys on them, in the tubes of the toilet paper. Everything stayed nice and upright.

Yea it must of fell just right and caused it to kinda jam up on me. I posted a better pic of the plastic window where you can see the black o ring showing now. It still performs fine just looks lopsided and it will drive me crazy. So worst case scenario is I just have to buy a new plastic segment. This is the second time I dropped it but last time I was able to jar it loose. Provari survived both falls by the way (no surprise!)

Gonna try hot water before taking pliers to my baby.

I would only try unscrewing the plastic as a last resort. You'll strip the plastic threads for sure. First I'd try pushing down on the top cap, on the side where the gap is, and seeing if it will pop back into place. Then unscrew it.

Hammering the side that was off did the trick! I knew I followed this thread for a reason no strippage at all.

Calling all micro coil experts.

I am going to try to build a micro coil, but only have 32 Gauge wire at the moment and a 1.5 mm´ish drill bit. I would like to shoot for a 1.8 – 2.0 ohm coil because I will be running it on my Provari.

Does anyone have an idea on the number of wraps I need to get 1.8 – 2.0 ohms????

Doing microcoils with 32 ga is difficult. Hard to keep the coils from wigging out when you squeeze them together. But you probably don't have any other gauge wire so you're going to give it a shot no matter what. Right?

I'd go about 7 - 8 wraps if you're truly 1.5mm.

Get yourself some 30 ga. Go 10 wraps around 2mm and you'll get 1.8 - 2.0 ohms every time...when you get around to buying some.

32 was way too hard to keep them from overlapping for me, drove me batty. Might be possible if you have better eye sight than I do though.

Yeah, Ive had my KFL or about 2 weeks but I’ve had really bad results with silica and 32 ga, so I think I may give it a shot.

I did order 30 ga but it was delivered late to where I receive my stuff from the US and EU and its been a logistical nightmare trying to get my 30 ga wire to Mexico.

I will let you know if it works out.

I have some 28ga on its way. Ordered it from Lightning Vapes - All the RBA Materials you need! Silica Wick, Ekowool, Kanthal Wire, Stainless Steel Mesh and more! Going from 30 ga to 28 ga should bring me from 1.8 ohms to about 1.2 ohms all other things equal.
