Are you folks strictly using this now or are you using traditional tanks and dual coil carto's (for example) for certain situations? Also, is there a lot fiddling required with it like with a ZAP? Lastly, how would you describe or compare the draw? I can't stand the draw on a Kanger so if it's anything like that, please let me know. Thank you again.

I use my KFL and ehpro KFL clone exclusively. I drive a truck for work and sometimes if I don't vape it for a while (hours) and drive through some big elevation changes sometimes my first hit is kinda dry also im using 100% vg juice, when its cold in the morning i gotta warm it up a bit for it to wick properly. Didn't have this problem with a 70pg 30vg blend tho

Other than that its been pretty much perfect. My wife used cartos for a while until I finally convinced her the KFL is better and she loves it too. Somehow hers always works better than mine.

It has been the most trouble free device for me. I use cotton so I clean and re-wick once a week but leave the same coil for weeks if not months. You might get longer wick usage with silica tho I'm not too sure. I use a kayfun 3.1 on another device and mainly try to drip on a rda at home. All my gennys, cartos, tanks, atomizers, bcc's are in a pile collecting dust.

Lord, if I could vape from a KFL exclusively, I would. But I vape a bunch of different flavors and I cannot afford $1,000 worth of KFL's to cover all the flavors I vape. Nor do I want to drain and clean my KFL every time I switch up flavors. While I have about a 10-juice rotation, I vape one juice 50% of the time. My one KFL is dedicated to that one juice. I use a variety of other juice feeding devices for everything else. If I heist a bank or win the lottery, I will buy a KFL for each flavor. I don't know what your juice rotation is but this is how I work it.

Air draw...what can I say? I have no way of knowing what you like or don't like. And I can't compare it to a Kanger because there are 10 trillion different Kanger's on the market.

Buy the dang thing. If you are the one in a million who doesn't like it, sell it on the classies. You will have no problem selling it for at or near your purchase price. I found InTaste was the cheapest and quickest to my door.

Has anyone figured out how to solve the wicking problems yet? I still have problems even after setting it up 3 or 4 different ways. I've come to the conclusion that mine is just flawed. I'm wondering what I could use to widen the juice chambers. Also where can I find a hybrid connector to use with this and a Paps?

Essential steps in getting the most out of your coil/wick build on Kayfuns:

1) Drop juice on your cotton wick until it's saturated. Put the stovepipe on and test vape.

2) After putting on the tank and filling, take several hard primer puffs without triggering your mod. You should notice small bubbles going up your tank after each puff. This means juice is flowing into your wick chamber. If you avoid this step, your first few vapes may scorch your cotton and there is no going back.

I use 27g Kanthal micros with cotton on my Klites that will sit on top of mech mods at .8 ohm with terrific results!

I've seen people using cotton, silica and mesh but has anyone used Nextel for the wick? If so how does it compare to the rest?
Got shipping confirmation from Pedro today so my Vela is sailing my way... I'll soon be wrapping this KFL and just want to see what people thoughts on Nextel for the KFL was.... Also got confirmation on my VA Kraken USA702 :) So in the zone right now

although i haven't used the Nextel with the k-lite i have tried it in a genny build, dripper build, and reo build, tbh i never really cared for it at all, but i don't like silica as well so that's just me. i think it was the xc116 which is like 2mm. also you need to either buy it clean or have to do it yourself, there is some heating process involved so be careful either way for it can be harmfull if not done correctly. my thinking is why use something like this when you don't have to. i feel the same about silica because its like fiberglass, i feel that cotton is the safest material around, and i feel a little better about that.

that's a new one to me, testing the vape without the tank on after saturating the wick, i never thought about that one. so you vape it from the tin cap? i suppose this will work if somethings really not right with it but i believe to really know if everythings perfect you need to assemble the whole device.

I don't know your stance on clones and the like Bronze, but between the slightly lower priced Russian, the less still ehpro clone, and the even less still Rocket 3.1 clone... You could conceivably (all Rockets mind you) have 7 or so for under $100.

I have two Rockets going right now... and they work surprisingly well. :)

I've done it divrr... but to be honest, and I imagine your of the same mind, if the wick is well saturated visually, a test vape from the chimney is a bit redundant.

never ordered from fastech myself, good place? and you can order just one device? for some reason i thought it was one of those places where you had to order like 50. i know that's probably not the case because i see a lot of people buying from them.

agreed. and as you know there is no way at this point to know if the device is wicking correctly.

I didn't get these from FastTech, but rather a recent ECF co-op. The FT price is actually a bit less that what I paid. Although they are made out of chrome plated copper for the main components, they are surprisingly well made for the cost.

I just got done sanding most of the chrome off of one... looks pretty decent on a brass and heat colored stainless mech. ;-)

Yep...

sometimes a clone is amazingly good, this has been the case in a couple of devices i purchased, also it has gone the other way at times and is a total waste of money. my latest paperweight is the fogger v-1.

I was concerned as well with these. When I first got them, I thought "oops - these are just a little too shiny to be well made", but after disassembling them completely, making sure everything was tightened and adjusted correctly, hitting all the threads with scotchbrite and silicone greasing the o-rings... they work nicely, especially when my total investment is $40 for two.

There are some US sellers now... usually just under $40 shipped. If supporting US vendors is a priority to you.

that's my choice as well. also you can use the cotton sterile roll instead of the balls, as long as their of the sterile variety, your good to go without boiling.
I, apparently, have some "unique" taste/smell issues - I still have to boil even sterile cotton, or I get a slight chemical taste. Nothing fancy - two 5 minute boils in distilled water and they're "tasteless". :)

I have made wick from Koh Gen Do Japanese make-up pads... the only thing I've not had to boil first. My wife gets them from a local salon, and I steal them from her.
