Theories?!

* Mesh wick, hot legs, hot spots leading to high heat and a hot deck.

* Torching coil/wick while attached.

* Excessive high voltage dry burning to clean coils.

Those are some that I can think of..

Anyone else burn/melt their insulators? I'm sure it can happen if they're selling spares, just curious how?!

I melted mine cause I somehow didn't lock my mod and the button got pushed down for god knows how long. Whole truck stunk like melting crap

I actually had the same thing happen to me the other day. It didn't go as far as melting the insulator but it kind of moves around on me now, so I tightened the center pin more and seems to be holding for now. Fingers crossed for you.

Unrelated to the subject at hand but, please convince me to stop buying crap and just save for my 2nd KFL. I was about to place a $75 order with a Kick2, two Panasonic NCR18650PF 18650's, an 510 to Ego adapter to run my EVOD's on my Neme Clone with the kick, and a 50ft roll of 28g Kanthal.

Convince me that I need a 2nd Kayfun Lite more than I need all this. Please!! I don't know what to do!!!

I'm also running out of my favorite dessert juice, half way down my all day 555 bottle and wanting to order a bunch of samples of different NET juices. God I wish I could just make all my clients could pay up all at once.

All that stuff just to run a cheap plastic EVOD on a mech mod? The only reason I see of using EVODs in the first place is form factor with an ego battery. Not *that* great a delivery system on its own, and definitely not worth forking out big money on to run it on anything other than an ego. You can throw all the money you want at an EVOD, but it won't ever stop you from wanting another KFL

You should ALWAYS make another Kayfun a priority. Rule #336

No you don't! You want another KFL! Nice try tho.

Stick with the KFL, it is much more rewarding. I just gave a kanger evod kit away this week... Why would i carry that itty bitty pen size device, when i have a KFL available? It just does not work out for me & i am helping some one get off cigs Next month buy the "other wants". I have 3 KFL's, all get weekly rotation. Not one has ever let me down.

Firing with only the coil on to adjust coil on provari

I didn't realize it until the metal was sinking into the insulator and it stopped firing
