the tin mans hat doesn't have to stop at the top of the 4c oring and can go up further into the topcap

Taking a look at the pics again, I think you're right. The adapter probably only comes with the two shorter tank rings, and the funnel just ends up protruding further into the top cap.

Took a few minutes for myself this morning...did a dry burn on my KFL coil, refill and all I can say is :vapor: I'd hate to admit how many tanks I ran though it before doing this..must get on a weekly rotation.

Hey IA. Probably depends on the juice you're running through it. I'm finding out myself. I'm on my fourth tank of DF and it's still hitting fine. But DF is a clean juice. If I were to run some of these raw NETs I'd switch to cotton and just replace it after every tank.

Did you notice an improvement after dry burning?

One advantage of testing new coil/wick configurations to see what works better for me is that one or both of my K-Lites get rebuilt every few days. As with my Protanks, I don't dry burn but rather just rebuild/replace my coil/wick combo.

Bronze I noticed much improvement....I'd let it go too long so was getting a little burnt taste. I had been using DF and Sludge. Really no excuse for waiting so long as it took very little time once I just did it. Now I know...and won't let it build up so much in the future:laugh:

Welp, I'm a Microcoil convert. Been using xc116 in a figure 8 for the last month or so, finally sat down and boiled some cotton yarn and set up micro coils in my KFL and Russian 91%. First try was a bit lower resistance than I would prefer (2.2ohm), but works pretty good. 2nd try I got 2.7ohm, ran some doubled up cotton yarn and filled with Pluid. At first it wasn't working as well as I would like, but once I replaced the wick with a slightly longer one and separated the strands out a bit so it would better fill the chamber, it's been working great. I still have to cheat a bit when wrapping the coils, they aren't very tight when I wrap em, especially the first loop or 2, but once I get em on the device I just glow the coil and squeeze em together with some needle-nose. I'm sure with a little practice I'll be able to get the coils and wick right on the first try. Flavor and vapor production are great, and looking at the way the buildup is forming on the coils, seems like it will be way easier to clean/reuse.

What you did with the squeeze method is perfectly acceptable and advised. Don't worry so much about separation when you wrap it. They'll always squeeze together wit the glow method. Also, I use a microcoil and it's 1.9 ohms and works great on my Provari. But if you're happy with your setup, then that's all that matters. Nice job Amnesia!

Diver, I had a friend send me an RBA once awhile back (he visits this thread now and again). He "cleaned" it before he sent it to me but I still got a nasty taste from whatever juice he was using in it. I cleaned it three times myself and could not get it out. He told me to boil it.

It worked! The nasty taste was 100% gone. I've done it a few times since and it works. Just don't put the meltable parts in the water!!! Steel only. Not saying this is Digs problem, but it's something to try that isn't much effort.

actually I had a similar incident. i did a trade, rsst for an original aga-t. i was nice enough to send the rsst off and wait for my aga because the aga was the only atty this guy had. this allowed him to vape a device until mine came. anyways a few days later he said he didn't like the rsst and was sending it back. WHAAAAAT? this was a trade, not something for a relative stranger to suck on, then give back. anyways i was pretty angry, but this wasn't all, he also never cleaned out his juice, it was dripping everywhere. this was not a normal juice, i think it was that wta juice or something, it must of had real tobacco extracts in it and the freaking smell would not go away. i tried it all and it was the plastic tank that held the smell. eventually after about a month of soaking it finally diminished. to this day i can still smell it. i tried pluid once and thought that was the worst, this was even worst then that

Talk about balls! There are days I wish my mother never taught me manners. Seems those without never get mad about anything.

I don't know what kind of juice you vape. I vape those nasty tobacco extracts (called NETs). Ha! :)

I'm having a hard time with the KFL and my 100% VG WTA juice. Just doesn't seem to wick well.

Gonna wait till some unflavored PG comes in tomorrow or the next day and try to thin it out a bit :(

I have vaped bobas in the kayfun with no issues at all. I tried this just to see how well it worked in the kayfun with the micro & cotton. not sure how bobas compares to the wta juice your describing but bobas is pretty darn thick. are they comparable? if so it should work.

it was just a guess on my part for I really didnt know what juice was in there, I just figured because it was so strong it had to have some real extracts. actually my guess was what bustabo was talking about, WTA juice. is that the same as NETs? I just vape regular juices, a couple of 50/50 blends and a couple alcohol based 100% vg juices. the 50/50 are from MBV, caramel and moo juice, the vg juices are from COV, butterscotch & kona crème. they are currently my 4 fav's
