Welp, I'm a Microcoil convert. Been using xc116 in a figure 8 for the last month or so, finally sat down and boiled some cotton yarn and set up micro coils in my KFL and Russian 91%. First try was a bit lower resistance than I would prefer (2.2ohm), but works pretty good. 2nd try I got 2.7ohm, ran some doubled up cotton yarn and filled with Pluid. At first it wasn't working as well as I would like, but once I replaced the wick with a slightly longer one and separated the strands out a bit so it would better fill the chamber, it's been working great. I still have to cheat a bit when wrapping the coils, they aren't very tight when I wrap em, especially the first loop or 2, but once I get em on the device I just glow the coil and squeeze em together with some needle-nose. I'm sure with a little practice I'll be able to get the coils and wick right on the first try. Flavor and vapor production are great, and looking at the way the buildup is forming on the coils, seems like it will be way easier to clean/reuse.
