Sugar and Cream is processed cotton so make sure you boil it for about 20 - 30 minutes, rinse, let it dry and you should be good to go. I would luv to hear your results.

ETS - looks like tyleris12 beat me to it - so ya, what he said ;)

With cotton balls, you can usually unroll them (even if you have to pull from the middle) and instead of trying to 'pull' an even piece, cut a piece the size you want with scissors. That's how I do mine and it works great. Hope that makes sense ;)

Just bought some rolled cotton but before this is what I did too.

In the never ending search for the Holy Grail of KFL coils...here's my latest. The only difference between this and a standard 1.5mm/28ga/1.4ohm setup is the wick placement, i extended the wick length and looped the excess back up off the deck and snugged it up next to the coil on both sides then trimmed each side even with the end of the coil. Vapor production is better than any other style I've built, and flavor is a bit better. I'm kinda coiled out having tried every style execpt twisted...so I'll probably stick with this one for awhile...famous last words.

1+ on this wicking style, built one this morning and I am impressed. I was unable to run a micro coil before because all I have is 30ga and the coil was getting to hot and burning the cotton. With the tails at either side of the coil, I am getting plenty of juice the provide a continuously saturated vape. Thanks bro!

Nice I like it!

My setup is very similar but a little different!
I use 30 ga 8 wraps around a 1/16" drill bit I get 1.7 ohms.
I just make sure the cotton covers the entire bottom ledge then back to the screw not to the coil.
I find I get no leaks at all through the air hole like this, even if I lay it down over night. This make me happy I hate leaks!:2cool:

That's exactly how I do mine, except I don't do micro coils. My 28g is on a mule and will be here by the end of the year. Best build I've made so far great taste and great vapor!

Here's another benefit I've found with this build, it's still producing outstanding flavor after going thru 2 full tanks, with my standard micro build the flavor started to fall off before I'd finish 1 tankful, glad it's working for you guys...I'm really enjoying the extra thick vapor as well...an easy build I'll be sticking with for sure. I'm sure we'll see some variations in the very near future...looking forward to it.

I use the yarn in all my kayfun's & even in my Zen....love it! Just make sure you boil it for at least 20 minutes (I also microwave for a few after boiling) & let dry completely. Some people say they don't need to boil, but I have found that if I don't boil it like mentioned above, I can really taste the cotton for a long time. The way I do it, after a few hits, no more cotton taste. :)

I boil for 10, rinse with cool, boil for 10, squeeze and hang to dry over night. I don't get a cotton taste that I notice, but my vape flavor tongue is kinda sorta just being born

Does anyone use sugar and cream cotton yarn around here? I hate hate hate using cotton balls I never get a consistant wick with them. Just wondering what other options are out there

I use peaches & cream 100% cotton yarn from Wal-Mart. I do not boil. I get NO cotton taste whatsoever. YMMV.

I've also used organic cotton balls, again no boiling. I personally taste no difference between the two.

I have tried to use silica or ekowool AFTER using cotton for a while, and I can taste a very synthetic taste from both the silica & ekowool that I never noticed before the cotton.

I'm not against boiling or anything, just lazy and never tasted the need ;)

Next time I try either silica or ekowool I WILL boil it first to see if that synthetic taste goes away.

I highly recommend the yarn....it SO easy guys...you'll wonder why you never used it before.

Make sure those wicks are right down on top of those juice inlets... if the wick isn't there to sop up the juice as it's pulling up into the chamber.. it'll just figure you don't want it and go back down into the tank.

Wouldn't this flood the atty chamber with juice? My sucks don't touch the changes because I get dry hits so I cuffed if I leave the path open it should get a lot of juice if not flood, but that wasn't the case.

The wicks sop up the juice but also prevent it from flooding. Got to have the wicks come in contact with the juice.

Does anyone know the size of the o-rings for the tank? I saw the clear tank on the aqua and kinda like the look of the red o-rings. Did a search and could only find the size of the chimney o-rings. Thanks!

I second this, thinking about colored obrings now lol
