Anyone know what the kayfun Lite clone tank is made of? It's frosted but I haven't found any details if it will handle tankbuster juices and don't want to ruin it.

Don't the clones come with SS tanks? I will gladly donate all my plastic tanks once i get SS replacements, trashed another Ithaka clone tank today and there not cheap!

Received a new KFL+ today from Vaperev, ordered last Saturday. I had wanted to get a second Russian 91%, but since no one has them in stock I decided to get the original.

Very happy with the choice. The build quality is excellent. I loaded it up with a vertical 8-wrap 30ga coil at 1.7 ohms and cotton wicking.

Vaping like a champ. fantastic taste and great vapor.

Happy camper lemur here:vapor: (fixed that for ya - Dusty_D)

After another possible FT fiasco I am going to be frugal and get one, looks good thanks for posting.

Any updated thoughts on the KFL Plus...particularly the whistling and air flow control?

I just got my KFL+ on Saturday, I have never touched the AFC once, and I don't really notice much of a difference, and I don't hear a whistle. I am just glad to finally have 2 of them! :)

This is good news. Thanks Bones. Lemme know if you go to monkeying around with your AFC. I'd like to know if it is worth a crap. I'm happy with the KFL unplus myself.

How hard was the vertical coil to align and set up? I used a standard micro coil on mine as I was in a hurry to try it out. I really like the micro coil cotton wick combo.

It's not hard at all. This is how I run mine as well. I think bc the microcoil, when fused with a torch, is so durable, it's not hard to line up. Just use a small drill bit thru coil & into air hole when wrapping and make sure to get cotton around all of the outside of the coil, but not over it.

So what did I learn about my KFL+ today?

Well, the verdict is in about the 10ml tank. My cotton wick survived perfectly over the last three days but the juice completely broke down with about 1.5ml left to vape. I could have finished it but the flavour was pretty shot. I won't use the 10ml as my everyday tank but will try it again with 7 or 8 ml and see how that goes. I can see it being useful for road trips.

I also took the airflow control screw out and haven't had any whistling. The cloud production has really increased and I like it a lot, but then I'm use to the open draw of tanks like the ZAP. I use to be a dedicated genny fan but now they just don't taste quite right and I don't think I'll be going back to them any time soon. :smokie:

Posted this in a thread related in general smoking..LEAKING airhole.

I've had a few successful builds on mine. I'm following the manual on problems and so forth. My coil is ~2mm above airhole, my wick isn't compacted in the wells just laying over them..tried leaving them open just getting them close to them too, my top oring grips so well, I sometimes unscrew chimney when removing top, and I've tried unscrewing top and tipping over screwing it back on.

Don't know what's going with it..
to screw your chimney on tight, i use a piece of cotton or a small piece of paper to give a better grip and tighten the piss out of those two parts so when i take my top off to refill juice, i dont inadvertently unscrew my atty chamber. thats all i got

Got my self a kayfun lite + yesterday. She vapes like a dream.

Can anyone tell me if the clear tank section can be damaged or cracked by certain juice?

I've always used glass tanks so this makralon stuff is new to me.

Strong menthols, citrus, nasty pluid....all can crack those

Thanks. I was afraid of that. I love menthols but I also want to see the juice level.

I vape flavored menthols using the full clear m tank with out any problems. However my friend had a full menthol juice and it clouded hos and made it brittle. Just be careful not to put anything too serious in there.

Thanks. So things like a fruit flavor with some menthol in it seem to be ok? The one juice I seem to never get bored of is mt baker vapors extreme ice. It's a spearmint menthol and it's strongly flavored. I'm afraid to try it in the kayfun right now. Maybe once I get a spare clear section. I tried the full stainless tank but I can't seem to figure out when it's full, how much juice I have left, etc. plus I'm afraid of vaping my cotton wick dry.

Hmm. Maybe if I grab a syringe with ml's marked on it I can use that to fill a measured amount of juice. If it had a long enough needle I might be able to pull the juice from a partially full tank, measure it, and then top it off before I leave the house.

I love this atty, just gotta figure out its quirks and adapt my gear/methods to them.

I believe it holds 4.5 ml. Just a suggestion to fill with the SS tank...fill a syringe with the 4.5ml. With the KFL upside down, fill through the fill hole. Tilt the KFL about 45 degrees with the fill hole on the lower side. Fill slowly, until you see just a bit of juice start to come through the hole. Remove the syringe, blot up that drop of juice, and replace the fill screw. By tilting it and filling, you will get it just full enough, and still leave that little airspace that the KFL needs.

I can usually tell when I'm getting close to running out of juice. The flavor becomes more concentrated the last tiny bit. Also, if you vape it dry, just rewick, refill, and vape on!

Dragon, would you say the draw is the same on your plus without the screw as it is versus the unplus?
