I love my kfl, but isn't there someone else who also wish that it was actually possible to adjust or redo the coils without draining the juice? For me that's it's biggest weakness (amongst aaaaaall it's strengths of course).

I dry burn and rewick every other tank, sometimes every tank if I'm running a "gunky" juice. I have had the same coil in mine for about 4-5 weeks now...

Once or twice I got a little too much cotton through the coil, and had to drain and rewick. I just use a syringe through the fill port and suction it out. Rewick, and put the same juice right back in.

The longer I have my KFL, the more I realize it is the best money I have ever spent on any vape gear (along with my Provari). Expensive? You better believe it! But in the end, dollar for dollar, they do everything you could expect and more. True workhorses. No surprises. No disappointments. Same delicious hit pull after pull after pull...without fail.

Ditto on that Bronze…with it's stellar performance, ease of building and quality of it's parts I wouldn't even consider owning anything else in it's category…actually, it's in a category of it's own IMO. Buy a Kayfun and done !

Nice cmac titanium cap ya got there myndsey…I've got 2 on order, can't wait for that vape mail !

You sure like to scratch up stuff... :)

Never used this on clear plastic, but works great on models...

Novus Try-It Pack

I actually just got a foggy kayfun tank and chimney. I wanted it clear. I got some wet sandpaper in 1500 and 2000 grit. Used those, then got this 3 step system called Novus. They had a little trial package on eBay for a couple bucks. I used steps 2 and 3 and it made it pretty clear. I'm guessing since you're using it for scratches you should use all 3 (step 1 is for heavy scratches, but it does state on label not for polycarbonate) Try that.

dang i wasted money on my headlight restore kit lol. Was hoping it would atleast make it clear/non hazy

It normally lives on a Provari, but recently I've been throwing it on the 18350 El Kapitan, with the nano tank it's so stealthy!
Tried a new cotton wick I saw Truman post here recently and it's working better than ever. Thanks!

LReyes whatever polish you use make sure it doesn't shine and "protect"...Silicone in some form is usually the "protection". My point being it could leave a film that the PG would dissolve...Aside from tasting nasty it could be hazardous....

Inotfat if you wanna remove the tank from the plastic equation....build it and vape it through the chimney....I'm about 40 miles South...between Broadway and Lillington aka the "Sticks"

I'm still rolling with my first coil and third wick...Flavor has diminished so I'll be recoiling tomorrow...I went with 28....12 wraps...16GBT...While that works Akdare's love of the fast heating 30 and Dusty's 5/64 with the whole piece of yarn intrigue me...but I've yet to boil that dang yarn....

Someone mentioned the Trident being quiet "airy" and a juice hog...I agree....Note I just got it last week and went with the Dragon coil for starters...It's got it moments of greatness and will then leave you scratching your head...Finnicky as to the amount of juice on the cotton would be the best I can describe it...and there is a lot of cotton...I believe it would be better with cotton thru the coil...Soon we will see...

KFL+/Pro-Vari....That's how I roll as well...

Been loving my r91 n provari... But been debating a mech to subohm

Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

I just got a mechanical this week to use one of my Kayfun Lites on. I had been using regulated mods before and wanted to see what others were seeing in the mechanicals.
I get a Poldiac Aname V2 from MMV and I now know why others love mechanicals. I don't know how to explain it, but the vape just seems so much "cleaner".

Interesting. I've been contemplating a mech as well for the same reason. What coil resistance are you using?

The coil I am using at the present is 1.5 ohm. I plan to try a 1 ohm this weekend and see how it does. The Poldiac has the sub ohm kit so I may try a little lower than that just to see the results with sub ohm.

I like all the positive things being said about the kfl I snagged one from vaperev around Christmas I wanted to snag an authentic nemesis too but had to settle for a clone woah is me. I was wondering how you guys go from cotton ball to cotton wicks and with 28 ga kanthal how many wraps make a .7 ohm ish coil
I see the what wraps = ohms question.. I have to wear x4 reading glasses to see what i am trying to build. I would say 6 wraps, on a 1/16 drill bit. There is a great video of building a micro coil & making a cotton ball wick in this thread by vapdivrr. Here is the VIDEO http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-xU5C74OEU If you own an android device there is an APP for you. http://android.metricscat.com/vapers-toolbox/ It is a nice app, and a good starting point. Not all fluids or builds are the same. Trial and some more till you find your special set up.

I've left all my rebuidable drippers with the airhole they came with, instead of drilling them out. I just prefer a tighter draw, even the standard Kayfun draw is airier than I like. I got a Trident recently which is the first rebuildable with the ability to have a super airy draw for me. I put it on the biggest hole and installed a sub-ohm with 24ga Kanthal. Got out a free-sampe 0 nic juice and did some big ol' lung hits. The cloud capability is crazy, and so is how fast it went through juice. I think 18mg nic would have laid me flat with that extreme amount of vapor.

That was just for fun to try it out. It was fun for several minutes, but not something I really want to do. I really don't want that much vapor on a regular basis, add to the fact that it eats up batteries and drinks up juice so quick. I can see why that appeals to some, but I'm more into great flavor combined with a draw and throat hit that feels right to me, and a decent amount of vapor.

The Kayfun can't really be a super huge cloud machine, but it can give awesome flavor alongside a respectable amount of vapor. I think if you went down to the 1ohm area with 28ga Kanthal and upped the nic you'll be happy.

Well that worked! I took out the 6mg juice, built a new coil at 1.1 ohm and put some 18mg and viola! I am now satisfied. I think I will go down to 12mg with the KFL and stick to 6mg when using drippers. I appreciate all the help from you and others. Thanks!
