I just wanted to start out by stating I am still absolutely loving my KFL+. It's found a comfy spot on top of my Paps X 1.5 with a 1.3ohm microcoil - 1.6mm. After some wick placement issues with organic cotton I soon had my KFL+ up and running perfectly. When I was in a local vape shop the lady and I began talking about kayfun wicking and she asked if I would like a small sample length of cotton yarn. The other night I pulled one strand off of the yarn, and threaded it through my normal 1.6mm microcoil during a rewick. It was the absolute PERFECT size for the coil I use. I then used the navy nest format to place my yarn, filled it with juice, and have been absolutely blown away by the consistency and quality of vape it is providing. I have noticed I am able to fully open the air flow control with 50/50 juice and still have enough juice getting to the coils to endure my chain vapes. I noticed when using regular organic cotton balls I would get the occasional dry hit(not good with cotton of course, especially in a KF) if I didn't have the AFC screwed in a bit on some of my rewicks. This very well may be due to the fact the yarn width and density is already created, and you aren't doing it from scratch each time with room for error. While cotton yarn won't be taking over my drippers at this point, it will definitely be running in my KFL+ from here on out and I really should have tried it sooner. Enjoying the hell out of my KFL+ and thanks to everyone for the info contained on this thread.

I gave all my clearos(i30B, protank3, aspire bdc) to my gf since upgrading to a kfl+ and r91, since I thought she would be content would those. But after she got to expierence my rbas now she doesn't want any more of those crap clearos. Now gotta buy her a kfl+ clone and tell her it's not a clone lol (she doesnt like fake stuff) hope she doesn't find out.

Ive been using my kfl+ exclusively for the past 1.5 month building the coil at 1.1 or 1.2, but the past week there seems to be an issue with wicking. do all of you clean it thoroughly after each build?

I usually wash out the deck and chimney section with every re-wick, every 2 to 3 days. Just a rinse with warm water and a pat down before dry-burning the coils.

I primarily use my KFL+ & R91s on my ProVaris (Provaries? Whatever the correct plural is.). Anyway, since I've got 5 of these things now, I decided to mess around with a build for a mech.

I did 8 wraps of 26g Kanthal on a 2.95mm drill bit. Ended up at 1.1 ohms. Mounted parallel to juice channels and wicked with organic cotton ball. Put it on a Nemmy clone w/ a fresh battery and this thing is beastly. It's not an overly "hot" vape, but it's pretty darn warm for a Kayfun. The nic hit is as strong as dripper. Wicking on the larger coil ID is unbelievable.

It's funny. It seems that even after several months, I'm still learning something new or able together a different experience with each build I play with on these Kayfuns. They really continue to keep me interested in rebuilding. Yes, I've got my boring "daily driver" build in 2 of them pretty much at all times, but there are so many configurations that you can attempt. I think my next undertaking will be playing around with a couple dual-coil builds.

So I'm thinking of trying dual coil on my r91 or kfl+ since I've tried almost every microcoil build and I'm off work tomorrow...just wanna try it out. I'm thinking of doing the double barrel coil which is essentially 2 nano coils side by side. People are doing it with 28g n getting .6 ohms which is too low for me as I don't want to risk the insulator and using a provari. I've seen ppl claiming to have 1.1-1.2 ohm set up with 30g. Last time I did a nano I think I used 30g wire wrapped 10-12 times for 1.1-1.2 ohm. Don't I need each coil to be around 2.2ohm as dual coiling cutts the resistance in half? How are people achieving 1.1 ohm double barrel coils with 30g manos?

She'll find out. They make it their life's mission to know everything we are doing. They're smarter than us and they have eyes all around their head. Trust me.

Depends on the gunkiness of your juice. I use a pretty clean juice in my KFL so I'll go every three tanks between cleaning. I disassemble, warm water rinse, dryburn, reassemble. I use silica wick so a wick/coil lasts me months.

The Pro Vari has a cut off...1.2 ohm I believe is the lowest it will run..

Got my kfl+ today. I'm completely in love with it!
Set it up with a 1.5 ohm,29ga microcoil and cotton. Has worked perfectly for me since i started using it 5 hours ago.
No burn taste,no leaks, lots of vapour and taste, and most of all no flooding or gurgling.
I've been using the protank1(?) for many months, and been generally happy with it, it would flood when it was getting low on juice, and when i had been outside in the cold and coming back inside.
None of that on the kfl+! Was out in -10 degrees, coming back inside, still works flawlessly. Can't say yet whether it will gurgle when it gets low on juice..Haven't read any reports of that happening.
Currently using it on the lavatube,as im waiting on the provari that should be in my hands on Monday! Christmas came early for me this year.

I've been cleaning my kfl+ with warm water. I've heard of people using vodka. is it overkill? any other suggestions?
thanks!

If warm/hot water is good enough to clean me, it's good enough to clean my KFL's.. just sayin'. :)
