That is correct. I actually inquired after my purchase from cloud and they immediately replied and satisfied me that the vat was added then deducted or something like that!! I think I still have the email if anyone interested. I am ok with cloud9 now as the vat goes!!

Hi porter, been awhile, hope all is well!! Need some help with the chimney coil, do you like or tried it??

Zbeast08,
I doing great now that the weather has gotten warmer, how about you?
I have not tried the chimney coil yet. I have been planning on doing one, but have not got around to trying it yet. I want to try building one and packing the entire lower chimney with cotton up to the top of the coil and using it as a dripper.

Akdare,
What about purchases that are made from Greece for export to the USA? I have been paying the VAT when ordering mods from Greece, at least the invoice shows a 23% VAT.

I just checked my invoices from vapourart in Greece, and there was no VAT...

Also checked my invoice from cloud9, and there is VAT...it is inside each price...it shows at the bottom of the invoice the total without VAT, and including VAT.

It appears an item I purchased from Greece had the VAT included in the listed price(99.00 euro). The invoice shows the listed price broken down showing Price(80.49 euro), VAT(23%), Amount VAT(18.51 euro) and Value(99.00 euro). I paid the Listed/Value price(99.00 euro) at the current exchange rate.
I wonder if many of the builders in Greece have the VAT included in their listed price, but some just do not break it down on the invoice?

Just tried something new in my kayfun. 8 wraps of .8 kanthal around a 1/16 inch object. produces a nice cool vape that is incredibly dense.

I can't wait to get it! BTW is a microcoil with cotton wick the build most people are doing on it?

I am currently vaping an AGA T3 with SS mesh wick using flat ribbon kanthal (about 3 wraps , 1.2 ohms) and it vapes OK, but I can never get the huge clouds of vape I see people on youtube getting with AGA RBA's. I also never got the crisp clean taste people say you get with SS mesh.

Sorry I know this is like two different questions but truth is I want to know if the same thing can happen to me on the Kayfun lite v2 I just ordered. I certainly don't want to be disappointed after shelling out the big $$$$.

It is my impression that a lot of people, maybe even the majority, are running micro/cotton setups of some kind. The trick seems to lie in getting the right amount of cotton for your coil diameter (trial and error and burnt cotton while you work it out) and making sure that you don't block your juice channels while having enough material not to flood if you are a chain vaper.

I wouldn't expect to be blowing clouds like you see with dual and quad drippers, that isn't where the KFL shines. That said, I get a lot of satisfying vapor and great flavor and TH. And I get all that satisfaction with a decent size tank and no leaks. If you don't take to the KFL, I am pretty sure that you will be able to sell it to another member without much trouble considering how quickly they sell out when they are actually available.

Good luck!

at 800 pages this thread is impossible to peruse leisurely to say the least.

But I just picked up a Kayfun Lite Plus V2, and I haven't seen much in the way of information about this new version of the kayfun lite, so what do you guys all think about it?

Congrats on your purchase! The reason you aren't seeing too much on this list about the V2 is because they are relatively new, and people are just starting to receiving them. I got mine on Tuesday but haven't wicked it yet - waiting for new juice. The changes in this version are pretty much cosmetic so I'm sure they will vape just as great as the KFL+ original.

I came to KayFuns from genesis style tanks too and although, in my experience, gennys offered enhanced flavour over cartos and clearos they don't offer better flavour than KayFuns wicked with cotton, though you can get closer if you wick your gennys with cotton.

Like with all RTAs, the amount of flavour and the size of your clouds is determined by your build, and there are plenty of youtube vids to guide you. Yes, I think most folks here are getting great results with micro coils and organic cotton.

There are lots of very experienced KF users on this list that I'm sure will be happy to answer your questions so don't hesitate to ask.

Have fun! :)

Intaste is in Germany in the Eurozone...the USA has an agreement with them about the VAT. The UK is not in the Eurozone, and therefore does not have that agreement. Therefore it's all companies in the UK, not just Cloud9, that charge the VAT, and, are not allowed by UK laws to remove it...

Sorry Guys, I know this is getting old for some.

Yes, the UK is not in the EuroZone, but Canada and the US are "out of scope" for VAT. That comes directly from HMRC. (I called and had a lovely? chat with them personally) :)

One difference between the UK and EuroZone countries is the UK has the burden of proving to HMRC that purchases made by us were actually made by and shipped to international customers and according to C9V Royal Mail documentation isn't sufficient proof. If C9V would use a different shipper this problem could be moot.

The difference between a KFM purchased from C9V and one from InTaste.de to me is well over $30 + the principle, so I'm very grateful for InTaste.de too! ;)

ETS: two other UK vendors that I have purchased from in the past have charged VAT at the point of sale but then politely refunded it with no difficulty, when I asked.

I have a KFL and a KFL+ both purchased from intaste.de and have absolutely no troubles fitting them, connection wise, on the ProVari. The "ProVari Cone" from the same site does make it look better. The beauty ring does have room to spin & that bothers some people, but I like it.

In fact, the R91 gives me more connection troubles. That adjustment screw tends to move when I'm removing the device and I have to make sure it's in place before putting it back on the PV. Not really a big deal, but . . .

I ordered my first Kayfun from Vaperev yesterday. I'm a bit concerned about it not having an adjustable center pin. Can you guys w/ Provari's tell me how the fit is. I have a 91% which can be tweaked nicely w/ the Loki ring.

It can be a problem.

My black delrin ring fits snugly and fires fine, but my stainless one required complex adjustments to make contact and fire properly.
