just came in and read a few posts, whats happening with tnt? anyways about the spitting, this is sometimes normal in a fresh build and goes away kind of quick, but if it doesn't its usually from a coil that's maybe to high. also it just could be certain juices as well. one more thing is possibly a thin wick. anyways it could be one of those

meters at 1.7 ohms - 30ga/organic cotton - you can't tell from the pix but the legs/coil clear the air tunnel

How does it look? It fixed the TH I was getting slammed with on the previous build.

is it me or is that air hole look funny? maybe this is just the way certain clones look but my kayfuns are kind of flat across, that looks like its protruding upwards. anyways I would say the coil height is good but because you have that protrusion I think it should be higher. also maybe its because you only have that wire gauge and don't want any higher resistance but more wraps would equal better flavor. if that's the only wire you do have and don't want to up your resistance you can twist 2 strands together which would let you obtain more wick coverage.

The chimney sticks through about a thread+ maybe 1/8"
They say it's by design to prevent juice from dripping down there.

The last build was higher and I was getting all TH & no flavor.
This one's just high enough to not touch and hits just right.
I have some 32ga I could use to get more (same diameter) wraps with the same resistance.
This is pretty tasty at 10w but I could definitely handle more flavor.

Thanks for the advice :toast:

hey if its tastey and just right then don't mess with it. so this is a clone then? you mean the positive post is raised higher (not chimney) for juice to not get in? anyways what wire gauge are you using?

The airduct (from Svo's manual) sticks through about 1/8"
Flavor is good but I'll try 32ga next time.
This time it's 30ga.

EDIT - The center pin sticks up through the air duct. Is that right? That's what I mean then.

maybe you have a newer version or something but non of my 4 lites protrude that high. anyways im sure its an upgrade on the newer models or something. if your using 30g I wouldn't go thinner for sure, stay with the thicker wire because if you use the 32g and made more wraps then what you have now, your resistance would go way up, a lot higher then what you have right now. the only way to increase your wraps without going higher in resistance would be to use a thicker gauge wire.

28ga is already on the way from Lighning Vapes :)
It should be here tomorrow but it ain't broke just yet.

Larger diameter = smaller # guage = less resistance = check, got it now.

I got the 32ga a while back, I must have been thinking of rebuilding evod coils ATT

It must be the insulator that sticks up through the air duct.
That shouldn't short since it's an insulator right?

Hurry, hurry, hurry. Want to reveal the subject matter?

probably builds on a kayfun according to your desired wattage. like if someone likes fairly low wattages with the kayfun I think I know the best set up for that, as well as medium wattages and even high wattages. I have 3 different builds in mind that I believe are the best builds for those power settings. I consider 10 or under low/ 10 to 15 med/ and 15 to 20 hi wattage vapors. also there not crazy builds, just simple horizontal micros, the craziest it gets is twisted wire. along with this I just have a few more pointers about the builds in general

Cool! Sounds like it could be a long one. Do you have a time limit in mind?
