My second KFL V2 came with a hard piece of green plastic in the bottom of the air flow adjustment screw chamber....took 2 hours to dig it out without damaging the threads....doh.....called Vaperev and asked if anyone else has called that received an extra goodie in thier device....I was the only lucky one they heard of yet...emailed SvoёMesto but they never answered....

All KFL+'s have that green rubber "ball" / "thingy" inside them, it's supposed to be there.
I had to get my google on when I saw both of mine had that in there.
More than one person was talking about it being an "anti-whistle" measure,
which might shed some light on that elusive whistling issue some of us have.

Personally, I haven't made much progress. The KFL that has always whistled is still a' whistlin'...
I used a small screwdriver through the afc screw hole & pushed down to fully seat the ball thingy and
it now whistles a little less, but it still whistles.

I am very interested in what happens when you completely remove the green ball thingy!
Please report!

Shine a bright light just right down the threaded hole where the afc screw goes, it's in there I assure you.
If you can't see it, stick a very small screwdriver down the hole and you can feel it's spongy nature, you
can feel that you aren't touching metal on metal.
I'm dying to know what taking it out will do as far as the whistle goes...

Here's a picture of my authentic KFL if that helps. Not sure if different versions of the authentic look different, but it does look quite different than mine.

My Plus V2 does not have it, but then I got it as soon as it released. My buddy at work who just bought his 2 weeks ago has it. I noticed some resistance when adjusting his air flow and poked a paper clip in there. Definitely something there. On mine, the grub screw just keeps on going past the air flow section.

I am new to Kayfun joy too, and based my builds on this PBusardo Video.
As much as I love Busardo, I have to disagree with one suggestion in this video. He says to "stuff" the wick down into the chamber. This approach resulted in poor wicking and burnt hits for me. The best method for me (apart from getting just the right amount of cotton) is to position the ends of the wicks down into the chamber so the ends are just gently resting on top of the juice grooves. I've also found the the wick ends need to be compressed enough so that they're not too fluffy. Otherwise the ends turn into a cotton soup that can clog the intake groves. FWIW. I hope this might help someone new like me who's trying to get it right.

Yeah there a number of reviewers that do that. I like to use some juice as a glue and deliberately place the wick exactly where I want it. When I screw the chimney on, it all stays in place.

I leave the juice channels completely exposed because I run high wattage (high for a kayfun at least).
