Q, you don't have to convince me you make it work doing it that way. I was a CE3 user for a long time before the rebuildables became popular. Those required a needle fill...there was no other way. And those held only 1ml of juice so I was refilling constantly. I got so used to syringe filling I haven't stopped since. I use a syringe to fill everything. I'm surprised I don't feed myself from a syringe. :)

I have a similar habit of syringes, because I got used to them first with the MT3S (you can't see into it very well, so a syringe is the best way to fill it *precisely*), and now with cartotanks -- syringe needle fits the tiny space between top ring and carto much more *precisely* than a needle-tipped bottle, so I know exactly where the juice is going.

So I use a syringe to fill my KFL+, or sometimes a needle-tip bottle, which also works very well. I wouldn't dare just put the dropper-tip to the hole and expect anything other than a mess to clean up -- I'm clumsy, sometimes my hands shake, so mess-making with e-juice is kind of a sideline of mine. :D Syringes and needle-tip bottles help me keep that somewhat under control.

Exactly. Various inflammation maladies have taken their toll on the strength and steadiness of my hands. Translated: I'm a clod. The syringe gives me another level of orderliness I cannot achieve with a juice bottle.

Coming up on 10,000 posts for the Kayfun thread. Congrats to all who made this an informative and fun thread. :)

A few days ago, there was a thread about using one of the kayfun's stainless rings, top or bottom, as a beauty ring on the sigelei zmax v3 or v5 "flat-top" (because they aren't really flat), and since I just got my Nano kit today, I was able to try this out -- and it works beautifully!

KFL-nano-beauty2.jpg

It only works if the bottom of the kayfun is pressing against the ring, or it rattles; if it's pressing too hard, there's no contact to the battery, so you have to ease out the center pin just a tiny bit, maybe a quarter turn, so it will contact the battery post yet press firmly enough against the ring to keep it from rattling -- a very delicate balance between rattling and not making contact; I had to try it about 6 diff times to get it *just right*.

The author of that post did something different, somehow removed a tiny bit of the ring's height, but I didn't want to permanently alter any part of the kayfun, I like it too much, hence the tinkering with the height of the center pin.

KFL Twisted Microcoil and Cotton

Well 10,000 posts, wow! Figured why not to celebrate it with a fresh coiling pictorial ;) This coil was already three months old, so while rewicking I thought of replacing it altogether. Here’s a look at the old coil and the new:

BOTTOMLINE:
I have many, but whenever I need consistency, dependability and rock solid performance without a/ny fuss I'd inadvertently pick-up my K'funs. I build them with whatever, however ~ they just go on. Low maintenance, easy to work with and totally satisfying. These are the Provaries of Atomizers. Period.

I believe most toothpicks are pert near 2.0mm. I have my second KFL showing up tomorrow. Maybe I'll replicate your coil just for fun. Do you experience any notable improvements with the twisted 32?

Nothing notable on the VTF front, it just heats up faster.

Not saying anything wrong with that build and if it works for you that is all that counts. Most of what I read is the wicks just touching the deck. Your wick tails are much longer than mone
