I thought someone said that VRev said they didn't include extras to keep cost down. Don't know how reliable this quote is but also Intaste didn't make a big deal out of giving away those extra parts like the little screwdriver. I'm sure they could've written a note saying something like, "for appreciation of our valued customers" etc but instead they just threw it in. Don't think anyone expected it or even knew who the gift came from.

Now comes VRev charging quite a bit more and giving less, people were regretting buying from them. Understandable. I bought a Kayfun 3.1 and a Lite from VRev as well as a few other things by visiting their store. From my experience they are a bunch of great guys and I don't regret any of my purchases or visits. However they won't be my first vendor choice because I like to save money when I can.

Either way whoever gets a kayfun lite wins in the end and that's what we're all here to talk about. Not to rant and vent.

In the email that VR customer service sent me, it did indeed claim that the spare parts and screwdriver weren't included in order to keep costs down. People were mad because we got less for $10-15 more than the competition. I've also heard they'll be selling the spare parts and screwdriver on the site soon... so it's not that they couldn't provide the parts. They simply wouldn't.

I had 2 new KLITES arrive this week. After reading vapdivrr's great write up of the microcoil set up... here goes. I only have 30g r wire at this time. Coil comes in @ 2.2 ohm, bit high but works great. Cotton balls, great price @ walmart (enough wick material for ever). Here are some pictures to go with your sunday reading.

My very day vape is Grenada. The fluid does swell the upper o-ring. So after a few days the o-ring swells, seal brakes, fluid will leak out the air intake. So after 3 days use, i just replace the upper o-ring and carry on. SUPER SIMPLE & NO WORRIES. vapdivrr, the microcoil + cotton makes this the easiest device i own to set up & vape. Rebuild, costs is nada, compared to my ceramic gennies.

I hope every one has a great day!!

that grenada is like pluid isn't it? so you have to use the kay-lite with the ss tube and not the plastic? glad to hear its performing great. I have the same results compared to my genesis set-ups, the k-lite blows them away and way easier to use and maintain. this is especially true for me as the last 4 months in genesis use I have been using the porous ceramic wicks only. the ceramic, imo has the best flavor of any wick I have ever used, the downfall to the ceramic though is their not that easy to set-up, and the heat sink is quit a lot depending on the diameter of the wick. this is why I am loving the kayfun so much with these micro's. hey buddy I just realized the name, of coarse you knew I was doing the ceramic wicks as well, were both reformed. with the 30g, I don't believe your resistance is to high, one thing I believe with these micro's is that you need at least 8 wraps minimum, any less and it just don't perform as well. I think between 8 to 12 wraps is standard. how many wraps do you have with the 30g at that 2.2 resistance? also I have tried the perpendicular micro like you have in, what I have found, which may or may not be a bad thing is the extra length of wire after the coil adds some extra resistance. in the angled coil the leads are a lot shorter. it may be negligible in how much it really adds though

I'm getting some juice popping up through the mouthpiece...just little tiny pin ...... on my tongue. Not all the time but enough to make me mention it. It's been doing this pretty much since I got it but now that I'm getting great flavor and vapor I'm turning my attention to this. Any suggestions?

I had this happen one day out of the 2 weeks I had the device and for some reason it happened when I just finished a set-up and was ready to vape it and for some reason I unscrewed the connection just under the drip tip, I did this just to look inside, when I put everything back together it was spitting until the next day when I re-did my coil. don't know if it was from the pressure thing or my coil was positioned to high.

Hey Vapdivrr I like your tip on using the short tails. Just did that on today's build and it's working out nicely. I used to have the cotton tail reach the floor of the channel then work itself across but when I take it apart and see how much the cotton has swollen, it seems a bit too much.

After trying several different coil distances from the airhole, I'm finding I favor further over closer. I just lay the tiny screwdriver holding the coils beside the screws as I tighten, then lift it up so that the screwdriver is sitting on top of the screws. Even though the fiddlers like to talk about fine tuning for preference, I've seen coil building noobs throw something together and end up with big smiles on their faces.

Also, I'm finding my 2nd Klite to be bone dry with just the screw in the fill hole. I'm going to try one of the spare screws that came from the Intaste package on Klite #1 and see if I can eliminate the tiny oring.

awesome. its easy with the cotton to use a lot of it at first because usually more is better, but I had learned when doing my reo set-ups that it worked much better with shorter legs because of the swelling. I have to try one of the spare screws myself, my k-lite will leak if I don't use the little o-ring. never thought it might be the screw, thanks

hey guys just adding a little more for those who might want to try the micro & cotton set-ups. first, I believe 32g doesn't work to well with them, I have not personally tried but just seems to thin and to many wraps. also I believe a minimum of 8 wraps is necessary for a proper micro coil. as for maximum wraps, don't really know. I have heard of some doing upwards of 14 with 28g &30g wire. this is why they work so well because of all the contact with the wick and the heat generated by the coils touching. you could never enjoy a standard coil with that many wraps.
