After dozens of tries I finally got my wick right on my micro coil Troeco Kaylite, I'm going on two week and afraid to mess with it. How long will a wick last with minimal (few puffs over 2hrs per day) ?

One other question has anyone tried the fastech $15 Kaylite clone on their first page?

Lol that's gonna depend entirely on stuff like how gunky your juice is and probably wattage you vape at.

With Boba's bounty, I will get through 3/4 tank vaping at 15 - 20 watts before I needa rewick and dry burn.

With cleaner juices like Smooth criminal, I can go through 2 tanks.

Glad your getting it more consistently now. It does take time to get the hang of it but soon you will be doing it with ease.

I was told that my KFL v2 can be bottom filled using a glass dropper. Every time I try it ends up not working, is there a trick or should I go get a blunt tip syringe?

Better off with a syringe... All my juices with droppers I put into a bottle with a sharp tip so that I can put the tip in through the full hole... I'm all about eliminating the difficulties in life.

never tried with glass dropper; hate those things. they just kinda dribble and drip around no matter how careful I am with them.

Personally I just use nipple tip bottles because I love nipple...

tip bottles.

What's wrong with needle bottles?

Needle%20Bottle%20to%20refill%20e%20liquid.jpg

First B&M I used sold all their juices in such bottles and I've never thrown any of 'em away, so I have a good supply of them in sizes ranging from 10 to 50 ml. Also, legit Russian 91 come with a needle bottle.

Syringes? Yeah, I'm a nicotine addict, but I don't mainline the stuff.

Can tell you why I like to top fill. (besides the fact I saw it in a 3.1 owners manual) Its quicker when on the fly and working. ten to fifteen seconds and done.

I too have found that the lite + is harsher and easier to flood if toop filled. and for the life of me I cant' figure out why! The only real difference I can find is that the top cap of the chimney is not coned inside like most of the others.

This may or may not be the reason for the harsher hit. But why the difference in top fill flooding, I'll be darned if I know!

KnifeMaker

I know I read someplace that the 3.1 has a resvervoir inside to help prevent flooding. Hands down they are the easiest to top fill. I can top fill the lite plus, abt one out of four times with no leaks. The slight leaking when i do I just blow it out the airhole and it seals.

They do have Kayfun lite plus's out that where the fit is better on the cap, and the o ring recessed in the cap. FC has one, and i love it. Makes no difference tho in the vape. What is the difference in the harshness of vape? I suspect that the fluid to air combustion rate is higher in the lite plus, due to less airflow. It's also due to the fact the 3.1 has two holes horizontally thru the deck, which makes the 3.1 more roomy for air. -- Thus, air would move better in the 3.1 because of the holes in the deck beneath the wick. Which explains why lite plus's pull harder, and sometimes whistle. NOtice some people drill out the airhole on there lite plus's. I like em the way they are, harsher criper vape.

top filling the V2 kayfun, when you think about it, it is sort of against gravity. with the airhole adjustment screw on the bottom, if the screw is open at all, the fluid will run right there. the problem i have had when you blow it out, it doesnt cure it.

oh and Nasca--, check your seals like vapdrvr said. One time i put in a stock polycarbonate middle section,, leak leak leak. Complained here, guy said you dont have it sealed right. I could not figure it out. Then later I discovered the polycarbonate section had no o rings on it. Sometimes they come that way right from the factory. they put the o rings in the replacement bag. If its sealed right, dont top fill it. In the little putzing ive done with my two V2's, when by top filling it sprung a leak, I could get them to seal for a while but then go back to leaking. Dont know why. When you get it fixed, I am all ears. Kayfuns shouldn't leak, that is why we buy em.

I always fill my KFL +V2's from the fill screw. The needle seems to be the easiest, but it is possible with the dropper, you just need to make sure it is seated in the hole.

Does anyone know if switching the oem top cap to another style will affect the functionality at all? I have a couple different styles but was afraid I would ruin how well these new kayfun's work.

Hello everyone. I've been playing with different build's on my first kayfun sence last night and finnaly found a build that seems to work for me atm. Been browsing through this thread for tips and found the chimney build on page 504 here and tried it out. So far so good. Great thread and thanks to everyone for keeping it going with new info and help on this lil gem. Here is a pic of the finnal setup. All my builds have been for the brass 4nine clone that is fairly new also. I love that heavy hitter. Anyway, it's was made with 24g kanthal and cotton at 1.3ohm with a clear kayfun nano setup i got from fasttech. It was the cheapest kayfun clone they sold for $12 and the clear nano kit.

I've used needle bottles but the tip was too small and kicks up the ole arthur ritis. Had to be 22ga tip. Not good! 18ga is good. 14 - 16 is fine too as long as it's not too wide like on the Kayfun.

On all my kayfuns, I glued the clear tanks on to prevent coming apart and leaks. I use aquarium safe silicone.
You silicone the polycarbonate tank to the rest of the tank? Will it come off? I've had to replace a couple in the past so it's nice to be able to do this, I think if they were siliconed in place, you might have a hard time, at least with the silicone I'm thinking of. Maybe that fish glue is easily removed?
