You shouldn't have a leaking problem when the tank is full. When you take a draw, the juice is sucked up those channels from the outer section causing the wells to fill with juice. The level of juice in the outer section will drop at the same time. The air bubble above the juice will thus be bigger but at a lower pressure. When your draw finishes and the mouthpiece is released, the [low pressure] air bubble will suck that juice from the wells back into the outer tank.

Try fitting a clear M-tank and chimney, than watch what happens in a mirror. It's quite interesting and demonstrates the engineering genius of SvoeMesto's design.

The problem will occur when the tank is emptier, typically a third full or less. As the device is raised and the draw is taken, one channel may be in the air bubble whilst the other is in liquid. If the partial vacuum is not maintained in the outer (juice) chamber then the juice wells won't get sucked back after the draw. After enough draws, the wells overfill and spill down the airflow input hole leading to leakage.

I'd be interested if you can keep us all posted as to how the device behaves over time with the larger channels.

Well, three full days and 15 ML of liquid later... Yes, I just found out that it holds 15 ML.
During these three days I haven't had any issues at all.

Now, I re-wicked it with Rayon. The coil is the same.

EDIT: And it was a fiasco. 15 min. later I started tasting burnt rayon.
I'm back to the good old organic cotton now.

If users have rayon working in a kayfun (any size) they either vape at a much lower wattage than I do or just better at it than I. I tried numerous setups and always had problems after the setup juice ran out. I do not have that issue when setting up with cotton.

I have two of the original KFL's in my rotation. This past weekend I finally got awesome builds on both of them using KGD. One thing that I believe helped was taking the time to sit down and relax with the build vs trying to do it on the run..and using just a touch more wicking material. I've used them forever, started with cotton balls, then cotton yarn but do prefer the KGD now that I've figured it out.

I really think after 1200 pages we need to focus on making building the KFL a method instead of an art. Any idea how wide the strip you cut of the KGD pad ?

I have been messing with the pads for a couple weeks and have thought the same thing about exact sizes. What I don't know is what exact pad I got? I received some to test from a member and think it's kgd but it could be the shediso pads (not sure if that's right, but something like that) also I think there are a couple others. Just don't know if all the pads are the same thickness and density. Although i haven't yet measured anything yet, I would say the width of the strip should equal the diameter of coil.

Quick question for you all, I apologize if there was a better place to ask. Have a SM KFL+ V2 and want to pick up a clear nano tank for it. From the VapeRev site it looks like the original makrolon nano tanks come in both 22 and 23mm diameters.

Any opinions on which is the better of the two in terms of looks and function?

Obviously the OEM parts are insanely priced, to say nothing of the absurd shipping costs and attitude that come free with VapeRev orders. Any suggestions for a good quality equivalent that will give a slight drop but still allow use of the stock chimney and top cap and not affect function?

Thoughts are much appreciated, thanks all!

On the left, 22mm. Center, 23mm. Right is standard size.

22 is flush to the body. 23 bulges a bit, maybe 1mm? I doubt it affects volume. The full tank is also probably 23.

At the moment, I am doing the 22 with an 18350 battery on my Semovar. I like it. Nice and compact.

The price is certainly odd, but I pick up stuff like that from intaste.de, when I am getting other stuff, so the price is better even with the shipping. Intaste delivers in two days, which is faster that vaperev can put stuff in a box.

After the 30th mention of your blog, I took a look-see. They are silicone from McMaster. I like them. Makes me feel special. And, unlike me, they look even better in person.

So, credit goes to you. Thanks for that.

Kayfun Lite (EHPro at least) air flow control screws are: M3 x 0.5 x 3, slotted head, flat point.

McMaster-Carr has socket head type 18-8 stainless steel (1.5mm hex socket), p/n 2605A511, package of 50 for $8.81.

I'm going to try the thread-locking cup point style (p/n 90251A155) so that the screws hold their setting. These screws have a small nylon insert in the side that binds slightly against the internal threads and resists turning.
