all I can speak of is the micro builds. for me I find the taste improves with a thicker gauge wire. currently I am vaping 26g with my micro's with resistances around .7 Ω, this gives me 8 wraps which is very fast in response. if I were to do a 1.8ish coil I would need 30g wire, and to me the flavor is not as good as a thicker gauge. I guess with a micro you could use 28g wire for a 1.8 coil but then the response time would increase.

I'm using 28g with 11 wraps; which gives me 1.3Ω consistently.

Thanks all. I wouldn't use a micro for HR, 1.8Ω (Ha for those whov'e been here quite a while remember 2Ω was the first LR cartos out there :))
For my micro I am using 28g.

funny enough they kind of got recognition because of how they emulate low resistance vaping without going low. I think most who are doing them in drippers are using them in hi resistance vaping (of todays standards), most of the resistances I see are done with 30g and resistances around 2.0. I just always liked thicker gauge wire and also find it a lot easier to make the coils with a thicker gauge.

I used to vape the kr 808 carts and loved the low resistance of 2.0Ω. now the lowest might be 1.5Ω?

If you're talking about the Russian, I do see the ss section in one of the pics. The description says its comes with the atty and below that it says it comes with the clear section. So it looks like it does come with the ss section. The preorder is still open.

1 x The Russian 91% Atomizer
1 x Clear Tank
1 x 510 Drip Tip adapter
1 x Needle Bottle
1 x Screwdriver
1 x 1m silica wick
1 x 1m nichrome wire
1 x Spare Part Kit: 2 x air flow screws, 2 x wick holding screw, 6 x O-rings
1 x Gift Box
I don't see a pic of the SS tank in the add or in the description:
Russian 91% Atomizer "Pre Order"

Ah well I will find out when it gets here. I have one KFL and one Russian 91% on order. My wife won't be able to steal it if I have a back up.

I only wanted one of each. I like playing with different devices and don't care to have multiples of anything (Provari's and dids not included)

Yeah, they work great on the 'vari; and look good too, with addition of a Pro Ring.

I was so impressed with the pro-ring that I got when I ordered my kfl that I ordered 3 more last week. Even with overseas shipping.. all three cost me $32 shipped. The lowest price I've found anywhere else is $20 each plus shipping. I ordered them early last Tuesday morning from intaste.. got a tracking number 3 hours later and they arrived at my door before 12pm Thursday! They look great with my kfl, my rsst and my dids but the spheroid is so slim that they slide right off LOL

I've had a couple pro rings for quite a while. I don't even remember where I got them. But I remember they were $20 each. I've used them with whatever genies I've put on my Provaris. I'm anxious to see how the ones I have coming with the K Lites I just ordered compare to the ones I have.

I'm wondering how much the sale of the new kayfun lite is affecting sales of the other models. I'm seeing a lot of kayfun 3.1s being dumped in the classys.

An update. Since I put a more "robust" cotton wick in mine, I have gone through a whole day and a whole tank with no (none at all.. not even once) dry or burnt hits. This is the first time I've not had even the occasional burnt taste. In the past, refilling was the main time the burnt taste came but today, I've topped it off twice and it keeps preforming flawlessly.

Oh... if you want to try something... try putting a micro coil with cotton in a genesis. HUGE thick clouds of vapor!

I did the same, what gets me worried is when my wife tries it out and I have to tell her that she has to wait a month or so before the 91% arrives. As for the ss tank. I believe that the 91% rba tanks sections are ss by default and it includes the clear section tank if you want to swap it out. If it didn't, then all the parts of the rba would have been listed.

It seems like lately, the K Lites are harder to come by than the 3.1s. It seems that many folks like them better than the 3.1s, and they're cheaper. [I hope the "flippers" are taking a bath on them. I really do. I can't stand flippers.]
Anyhoo...I think having a little more cotton in the coil works better. I don't mind having a little resistance, when I pull my cotton through the coil. I think the cotton needs to be a little fluffy, and not rolled too tightly.

I've had the same experience. I found I was getting a burnt flavor when the cotton was too skimpy. I'd check the wick and there was no scorching so I assume it was juice burning on a coil that had no wick touching it. Once I put in a little thicker wicking it was perfect, no burning and awesome flavour and vapour. I'm using 28 g. Kanthal at around 12 wraps, 1.5 mm inside diameter for around 1.0 to 1.2 ohms. I find the micros with cotton the best system for me, just after receiving 10 metres of Ekowool from a group buy...

Yeah, I have a bunch of ekowool sitting in a bag on my desk. I'm using about the same set up as you are. I'm using 12 wraps of 28ga, which is giving me 1.3 ohms, on a 1/16 diameter. For me, the cotton is the way to go.

Question. For you folks that are doing microcoils in the KF, is it better at a higher or lower resistance? I mean I usually do a normal coil in my KF's at 3/4, 28G, 2mm Ekowool figure 8, and get about .7 ohms and have really enjoyed that. Last night I wrapped a 1.5mm microcoil with cotton (cant remember how many coils) and it came out to .9 ohms. If I wrapped it to say 1.2 to 1.5 ohms would it improve? Currently at .9 ohms, its vaping wonderful with cotton. Just wondering if it could be *better* is all.

that's the fun about rebuildables, giving things a try just to see. taste is so subjective but for me I prefer a thicker wire and lower resistances with minimal wraps. I do 8 wraps of 26g which puts me around .65Ω. some like 30g wire with many many wraps for resistances around 2Ω. some like the 28g at medium resistances. I don't think there is a better, I think its just preference.
