I premade a bunch of wicks today. I get 16 wicks from 1 cotton ball. you know the cotton ball can be unrolled, when it is unrolled and layed flat it measures approx. 1 inch x 4 in. now im looking at a strip of cotton and I cut it length ways into 4 separate stripes, being the width was 1inch it is now cut into 4's. I now have 4 sections that are 4 inch long by 1/4 in. I now cut the 4inches in to 1 inch pieces which now leaves me 1 inch pieces by 1/4 inch pieces. I then roll with my fingers till they are able to fit into the coil. some of these sections wind up to be whimpy while some are slightly to thick, but for the most part they are the perfect size for my coil. so I guess you can say that I roll my wicks with the grain of the cotton. if I am rolling a wick and it seems to thick I just pull some off length wise, if I had rolled them up across the grain and I pulled some off it would unravel the wick. so im not sure if by doing the wicks this way it helps the wicking action.

great job vap. science that is.
I had a couple of good builds when I first got my KF. Not sure what happened but instead of improving I kinda got worse at it :?:
I'm gonna go with your vid step by step and see what happens.
Hope you guys come up with a good eko or nextel build for this...

hey buddy. you know I bought a reo last month and found it to be an awesome device. its paired with an rm2 atty in which a micro coil is king. anyways I decided to buy this k-lite and try the same micro & cotton. to my surprise I liked it a lot better then the silica build that I had previously. funny thing though, I along with others have found it to be perfect and have no issues while some have problems with dry hits. you know how these things are, so many variables. its like when we were vaping the ceramic set-ups, while a lot of us had near perfect set-ups, some didn't. theres variables like juice, region where temp or altitude can affect devices, etc. well same here as well.

My package arrived today. "Package", not "Kayfun Lite". The package was empty.

I know we were asked to keep this kind of thing to another thread, but I had to share my "excitement".

Oh wow! was the package sealed and it just wasn't put in there or did it get torn and lost in transit? Have you contacted the dealer yet?

I think i know, but what company did the empty envelope come from?? Was it a southern cali purchase? My FedEx package looks a bit different.

One end of the envelope was torn (in the picture). So I'm guessing its in the bottom of a bin somewhere now.

Yep, I've emailed the seller, but I don't expect to hear back until after the weekend. Told them if they expect stock soon I'd take a replacement, otherwise refund. Even if I get refund everyone is out of stock, and I still want one...

Digital Steam (Germany). Charged €29 for shipping, then used DHL "Global" (instead of "Express") and an envelope instead of a box. And didn't bother to insure it.

Anyway, I don't mean to bash the vendor - we'll see if they make good. I just needed to vent. I appreciate everyone's sympathy, I'll stop derailing the thread now.

On a side note Rule.. I took apart my switch housing on my Roller (wasn't firing every time) when I put it back together I must have put something in backwards

because now the "on" position is the "off" position and the "off" position is the "on" position LOL.. It's firing ever time now so I'm leaving it alone! I'll just have to get used to it till it's time to take it apart again.

You don't have it take it apart. Just pop the button cap off while it's in the On position and put it back on pointing up.

After seeing these pics I pulled out my wick (yet again) and replaced it with a bigger wick. Big difference! I think my problem all along was my wicks were too skinny and I haven't been getting my whole coil in contact with my wick. When I pulled out my 3 day old wick yesterday, it wasn't burnt at all, not even singed so that tells me it wasn't my wick that was giving the burnt taste but a part of my coil that wasn't wet enough because my wicks were too wimpy.

You're right... a cotton ball will roll out flat! Makes it a lot easier to made a wick rather than just pulling pieces off the ball. (like eatting cotton candy) This time I didn't even try placing my wicks on the ledge, I just pulled them up, screwed on the chamber and then used tweezers to place them down in the chamber along the ledge, not packing them but just placing them. I now have micro coils with cotton in my rsst, my speroid, my kfl and my igo-l LOL

The cotton is wicking so well in the rsst that I have to vape opposite of how I do with mesh. I have to keep the wick/air hole on top, facing away from me rather than on the bottom, facing me. In the rsst, the cotton seem to be acting as a stopper of sorts, meaning that I can lay it on it's side and the juice doesn't run out the wick hole and out the air hole.

Its funny... I used cotton in my vivi novas and eventually gave up because it burnt too easy. Now I'm back to using cotton again. I'm not going to say that I won't be using silica again but so far, I like cotton much better.
