Longer tails can lead to hot legs. Good in a woman, not so much on a coil. Also, you've got your wire going against the direction the screw tightens, which could loosen your connection. Sorry for the clipped replies, I'm on the tablet PC.

Fixed the coil to correct orientation, centered and lowered, now with a thicker wick.

This is a big kayfun (26650 model) thought it might make pictures better

Pic helps, ty. The thing with my build is once the cylinder is screwed on, I clip the wicks, I have to gently push them down. With the space on the light version, they wicks don't really draper like that...or at least I can't tell.

Are you saturating the wicks before you shove them down the sides?
