one thing i really don't enjoy about the KL is taking it apart to tinker with the coil. took a break from it and went back to genesis.

I've seen this ("large mode") before in reference to the Lite, but it confuses me. Is there more than one mode? The top and bottom tank sections are female-threaded on both ends, the middle is male-threaded on both ends, and the chimney is taller than one section. So all three have to be used don't they?
Some klites have a tiny leak from the fill hole. I have this problem with one out of my three.
If you ordered from Intaste and have the tiny little screwdriver, you can take one of the o-rings off it use it on the fill screw to eliminate the leak.
The thing is, I've tried all possible ways for my KFLs to leak from their phill-holes... but couldn't make them. I've kept the fill-screws loose, have tossed them around (been thru Canada's Wonderland a full day with KFLs in my pocket), kept a loosely fit KFL overnight on the table etc. The bloody things just never leaked!
I couldn't possibly get two ultra-good KFLs, could I? And from different vendors. At least one would have leaked. But, neither did, ever. That makes me ponder excessively on all the posts about KFLs leaking.
As with a weeping air-hole, it would weep if we over feed the chamber. Can happen due to wrong draws too - even if it wasn't flooded while filling. And if this over feed occurs, the air-hole weeps, which if gone unnoticed - will find it's way to the 510 connector via the air channel slits of the top cap. I had a few such initially. But, since I learnt 'how to vape' the KFLs - it never recurred.
Tip#5:
Remember my previous tip/s about slowly vaping this beauty, unlike carto-tanks or Gennys. Furthermore, while drawing, the technique with KFLs should be: "fire-draw-lung-stop fire". That is:- never draw without the firing button pressed, b'coz that'd flood the chamber (unless u want it to, aka 'primer puffs' when in trouble). And if continued - it'd gurgle and eventually weep thru the air-hole. The trick is in ensuring that no puff went wasted, without vapor, and no juice is left behind with the draw! And voilà, no more gurgle or weeping air-hole anymore!
i've had a weep a couple times in the last three weeks from the fill screw, but its so minuscule and infrequent it's a non issue really....
The SW is from Super T and the best machining is some of the best I've ever seen. I'd say it is fully mech but others may not. There are no electronics but there is a switch with a lead to the connector. There were 115 sold and never to be made again. He has talked about doing another 26650 mod in the future. The SW is the size of a SB with a 26650 inside.
I'm not a big fan of bottom buttons either and I have 2 'velasThe Roller is great and a super smooth fire button.

I do love this stuff. but I think the best part is thinking that I have possibly helped someone to keep off the cigarettes. it gives me a rush to know that the info I have given is enough for someone to keep vaping.

that is a nasty coil there. it looks like the gunk is forming vertical. call it the creature coil
possibly correct. when I first started vaping the ceramic I thought it was just as good as mesh but I wanted to perfect it some. I messed around with resistances, wick diameters, etc. after a week of vaping nothing but I decided to try a mesh build again, this is when I realized the difference. from that point on I never vaped mesh again. so initially I don't think its that much of a difference, its subtle differences, but they add up after a little time and then become more pronounced. as you know taste is so different from person to person, its like juice, I still cant figure how anyone can vape pluid? its just so nasty to me, so its the same for wicks I guess.
I don't know but I'm thinking the gunking is coming from spaced coils. In the space between the coils I think the juice isn't getting fully vaporized so it caramelizes the juice. My first couple of builds were 3/4 with silica and they all gunked like that. None of my micros have any gunk.
Now I haven't tried micros with silica nor spaced coils with cotton. That would bear out my theory. Has anybody tried either ?
Looks good, I just wish they made is 22mm. The Roller is 22.7mm so you can see in the pic, it's just a tad bigger that all the RBA's.

Yeah, there's lots more to it than just wick material. It's wick sizes, roll tightness, wire size, coil spacing, etc. Just as you've experimented with ceramic builds, I've spent a lot of time experimenting with mesh builds. My friend, that I mentioned earlier, is a big experimenter. I think he spends more time fooling around with builds than he does actually vaping...lol. Mesh, ceramic, ekowool, x116, silica, cheesecloth, cotton balls, ss cable, whatever he thinks will absorb juice.
I agree with you about Pluid. IMO, the stuff is awful. I had a few ml sample I got at a meet up a while back, and ended up dumping it after half a tankful.
I'm approaching the end of my first tank ran on my first build. Tonight I will possibly tear down the 1.5 wick/coil and attempt to build one yielding 1.2 or lower.
Then again, I may just swap wicks and get on with the excellent vape!

I tried Puild 2/3 times, didn't like it, and gave most of it away..... tried it 3 weeks latter, loved it, vape for 2 1/2 weeks straight, then got burnt on it and can't vape it anymore.
3/4 wrap on a "figure 8" wick with 2mm ekowool & 30g will get you a 1.1-1.2 coil.
