Kayfun LITE

This is exactly why I don't plan on getting into gennies. I don't see the advantage, the vapes are comparable from everything I've read but I can put one in my pocket and one I can't. If anybody wants to let me borrow a genny to prove me wrong I'm open to trying but if I'm going to choose between two rba's that do the same job, I'm going to pick the one that doesn't drool and I'm going to make that pick 10 out of 10 times.

I've discovered (for me) that my gennys with silica are more portable than with mesh. I can't leave them on their side for an extended amount of time or throw them in my purse and forget about them like I plan to do with the klite but with silica, they are less likely to dump their juice so quickly. Plus the vape is about the same. I was using carto tank until I got into gennys/mesh and after that, even though carto tanks are very portable and don't leak (mine didn't at least) the vape was no where near as good. I had originally planned on using the gennys at home and take the carto tanks to work and such but it didn't happen that way. I go for the best vape and even though I had to always "be aware" of it's position, it was worth it.

I still think a genesis with mesh is the best (IMO) but my gp spheriod and kayfun come close enough that I can now take them out and not feel um... deprived.

It's good to have options and I enjoy the vape of all my devices. They're all different in little ways.

Have you considered a Kayfun mesh setup?

I have an AGA-T2 on my Nemesis, and the switch is iffy with an 18650. With an 18490 or 18350, it's safe. But I always feel like I should lock it with the big battery installed.

In time you learn about many types of atties including inverted gennies like the Cyclon v2 (another you can lay down without leaks) or the Arrow which is a normal style genny but is leakproof (has an ingenious outer sleeve and locking driptip). In general, gennies provide amazing flavour and vapour when set up correctly. The Kayfuns are great and I enjoy the two I have in my stable but I still like my genesis stuff. I do shoot for the ones that don't leak these days, that I can lay down without worrying about making a mess.

I just put a new coil on my lite tonight. 11 wraps of 28 gauge kanthal @ 1.3 ohms with cotton yarn wick.Its vaping like a champion even on my evic. I have been chain vaping trying to get a dry hit.

Up until now I've been a little disappointed. I finally got a coil built day before yesterday that was good, not great but good. Then last night I rebuilt it instead of refilling and the results were not so good... off taste and not much vapor (boy this thing isn't very forgiving with coils!) I've been using 30g. This morning I awoke with a renewed sense of determination (LOL) and saw your post and thought wth. I wrapped 11 wraps of 28g (1.3ohms) It was the most perfect coil ever (I should have taken a picture because I'm sure I could win some kind of award) Installed it perfectly, slipped in a sliver of cotton, saturated it and filled it. Now FINALLY I'm getting the vape I've been after!

Between this success and the "out for delivery" notice on usps.. very happy this morning

(boy this thing isn't very forgiving with coils!

thats funny, not doing micros, but i have a couple KF and no matter what i do i cannot get good solid wicking and flavor with one strand of wick, double it up and works perfect. even with different resistances, even tried ribbon coils, nope, wont do it with a thin wick for me lol.

waiting on the extension parts now just to play, made me think - if i make it twice as long does that make it an ultra light?

switching from 30g to 28g made all the difference. (and maybe a more perfect coil) I am now officially in love with this thing!

I rebuilt one of mine today with 28ga. So, I have one with 28ga at 1.3Ω, and my other one with 30ga at 1.4Ω. Both are micro coils. To be honest, I really don't notice much difference in performance between the two. Both are giving me great flavor and vapor. I think I'll probably use 28ga from now on, just because the coils are a little more sturdy with the thicker wire.
