Been thinking about a mesh/Eko setup too. Any details you can share? Picture?

no, sorry no pics *yet*. but, i used 32g kanthal, 4/3 wrap and a piece of mesh just wide enough to accomdate the width of the coil. wraped the mesh around the wick, and wraped a coil. only hard part was getting the coil tight enough around the mesh! took a FEW try's ;)

I had 2 new KLITES arrive this week. After reading vapdivrr's great write up of the microcoil set up... here goes. I only have 30g r wire at this time. Coil comes in @ 2.2 ohm, bit high but works great. Cotton balls, great price @ walmart (enough wick material for ever). Here are some pictures to go with your sunday reading.

My very day vape is Grenada. The fluid does swell the upper o-ring. So after a few days the o-ring swells, seal brakes, fluid will leak out the air intake. So after 3 days use, i just replace the upper o-ring and carry on. SUPER SIMPLE & NO WORRIES. vapdivrr, the microcoil + cotton makes this the easiest device i own to set up & vape. Rebuild, costs is nada, compared to my ceramic gennies.

I hope every one has a great day!!

I got it from my local B&M, who picked some up from Vaperev for his shop. It didn't come with the washer kit because the manufacturer DOESN'T supply them with the KFL.

Does Provape send free batteries with the Provari, does any mod maker ??? I've never bought a mod and expected the batteries thrown it. Now if someone did throw in batteries, that's a nice BONUS but does not make Provape or any other mod maker a bad guy.

I'm amazed at the "I got gypped out of..." mentality (.. and about $2 in parts, no less). That "I deserve something for nothing".

That being said, I appologize for the rant, I just finished reading this whole thread...... Thanks for letting me vent.

I'm getting some juice popping up through the mouthpiece...just little tiny pin ...... on my tongue. Not all the time but enough to make me mention it. It's been doing this pretty much since I got it but now that I'm getting great flavor and vapor I'm turning my attention to this. Any suggestions?

I just did this right now! I wrapped a piece of mesh, about 1/3 inch around 2 strands of 3mm ekowool. I had prewrapped the coil around a micro screw driver and then pulled the wool/mesh into the coil using a piece of 32 gauge wire. I tried this because since my first coil, I haven't been getting enough flavor and way too much heat from my typical 3/4 32g wrap.. The coils seem to lose flavor too quickly. I used a 5/6 wrap of 26g coil. Better but still not great. I need to experiment more

Tip: There's a difference between drawing thru the Kayfun/s and doing it with other Atty/s (viz. Gennys, Cartos etc.). With the K-Lite u need to draw slowly & smoothly. This is b'coz with every pull u suck-in the juice inside the chamber first, then it gets atomized and whereafter u get the vapour (flavour+TH combo).

No matter the wick was already moist or otherwise, every pull will bring in more. Thus, if u pull faster (before the contents fry!) u r in the receiving end! Try slower pulls and see the difference!

Fair enough Q :).... And it's obvious inTaste is doing a great job of capturing the overseas market and heard here nothing but good things here about them after the custom problems. But there were many posts about how bad Vaperev was and that they were pulling spare parts out of the package, ect. All 7 KFL our B&M here received were factory sealed without spares in them.

I thought someone said that VRev said they didn't include extras to keep cost down. Don't know how reliable this quote is but also Intaste didn't make a big deal out of giving away those extra parts like the little screwdriver. I'm sure they could've written a note saying something like, "for appreciation of our valued customers" etc but instead they just threw it in. Don't think anyone expected it or even knew who the gift came from.

Now comes VRev charging quite a bit more and giving less, people were regretting buying from them. Understandable. I bought a Kayfun 3.1 and a Lite from VRev as well as a few other things by visiting their store. From my experience they are a bunch of great guys and I don't regret any of my purchases or visits. However they won't be my first vendor choice because I like to save money when I can.

Either way whoever gets a kayfun lite wins in the end and that's what we're all here to talk about. Not to rant and vent.

glad for the success , it is unbelievable just how much the cotton swells, in my experiences little is better. like you i don't really think about the little channels, all i do is place the tails down just enough to reach the bottom and then add maybe 1mm more. they really don't span the whole distance horizontally across the bottom.

Hey Vapdivrr I like your tip on using the short tails. Just did that on today's build and it's working out nicely. I used to have the cotton tail reach the floor of the channel then work itself across but when I take it apart and see how much the cotton has swollen, it seems a bit too much.

After trying several different coil distances from the airhole, I'm finding I favor further over closer. I just lay the tiny screwdriver holding the coils beside the screws as I tighten, then lift it up so that the screwdriver is sitting on top of the screws. Even though the fiddlers like to talk about fine tuning for preference, I've seen coil building noobs throw something together and end up with big smiles on their faces.

Also, I'm finding my 2nd Klite to be bone dry with just the screw in the fill hole. I'm going to try one of the spare screws that came from the Intaste package on Klite #1 and see if I can eliminate the tiny oring.

    True.
I've posted here a few pages back that SM confirmed the KFL being OEM shipped in a sealed pack containing only the M-Half Tank. And that InTaste was going out of the way with those spares. It was also pointed out by someone that DigitalScam did so as well (sent those spares) though puffed us with way higher $$$ in shipping, which was anyway sent thru 'bottle-mail' (someone punned that term here too!).

Thanks! I'm adjusting my draw and am noticing a big difference
