Hey guys and gals, I need some help. I have my new kayfun lite and am using it on my provari mini. When I screw it on, it doesn't tighten down, it just stops, making it easy to come loose. This is because the kayfun center pin is short. When i add the provari ring, to make a seamless look, it doesn't make connection at all. It did for a second, but doesn't now. Since I have had it, I have never tightened the kayfun down a lot, I always put my stuff on pretty lightly. But, without the ability to use the provari ring, and not being able to securely put the kaufun on the provari, I am pretty bummed out, considering how well the kayfun is vaping. This doesn't happen with my Buzz Pro or iTaste MVP, just the provari. I wish the kayfun lite had an adjustable center pin. What would happen if I unscrewed the center pin? Is there anything I can do to fix this? Thanks.

Edit: Actually, it does happen on the MVP, just not as bad, it tightens a little bit, before all the way screwed down. The pin barely sticks out.

I get this too with the Kayfun drip tip. Fist 2 setups I made I thought that the KFL is ...... Vaper production was not good and those pin ...... bothered me a lot. Put another driptip on my KFL and everything changed.
Tried this driptip on my Spheroid and get also those pin ....... I think it's because of the small hole on the top, so the vapor and the heat concentrates in this small spot.

I've experienced this also but I haven't in the last couple builds and wicks. I've not used anything other than the stock tip that came on it. Once I got my coil and wick right, meaning that the coil is pretty much perfect and there is just the right amount of cotton inside the coil and the tails are able to wick without blocking the juice channels (I'm using micros with cotton) I haven't had any pin ....... For me anyway, I don't think it's the mouth piece that's the culprit.

I don't think the mouthpiece is the culprit either. I've used nothing but the Kayfun tip, and have never experienced the pin ....... I also use micros and cotton; except for one which has Ekowool Figure 8.

The connection pin is adjustable when I use a buity ring on my varies I do need to turn it out just a touch and your golden. Just don't unscrew it much very little at a time till it works:thumb:

I have had no issues with the kay fun and the regular provari so maybe the mini is slightly different. I have had issues with other devices though. sometimes, depending on a particular atomizer, the 510 threads may have some burrs in which may eventually smooth out. it is possible that the 510 threads on your kayfun might have some of this going on although I haven heard of this on the k-lite. maybe slowly try screwing and unscrewing it on the pv and hopefully it may work its way out.

I also believe its not the drip tip. there is definatly something else that causes it. I have had this issue once and never had since, and never really knew what was causing it. my guess is that it was a pressure issue because it happened after I filled up the device then decided to look at the juice by taking off the top section, bad mistake, anyways for some time after I was getting a lot of spitting until I rebuilt the coil and got more familiar with the builds, then it hasn't happened since. come to think of it though, it did happen with the stock tip which I took off because it felt to restrictive, I now use something else and have no issues, so looking back maybe it was the tip? but I don't think so.

Not to be a know it all but - No it is not adjustable. If you back that screw off to make the contact longer the coil connection gets loose and is free to wiggle. Try it the next time you break it down for rebuild and you will see what I mean. Don't do it. I've read horror stories about melting down the internals this way

I hate when someone says mine is perfect when my sheeet isn't working right.... but I will. I use my KFL on my Roller or 'vela at 1Ω but this coil is 1.2Ω and I've played with it on my P-mini and it does sit well, with or without the ring I got from inTaste. I hope yours works out.

I use the kayfun lite on two different provaris and it should work perfectly. Check the center pin in the 510 connection. If memory serves, it can be unscrewed and removed or adjusted to be flush. Sorry I don't have any specific instructions for you but I'd start by taking it apart and looking at it. It should fit nicely on any provari.

Next time one of my tanks runs dry, I'll take a look at it to see if I can be more helpful.

I have a gurgling problem with my KFL. I noticed when I accidentally place it on its side, it floods the coil chamber and starts gurgling. Anyone have this same problem? I have the 8 wick setup like most people and 2.5mm wick. Is 2.5mm the problem?

I've never had a problem with flooding the chamber.. Is the chimney stack tight?

I have used 3mm eckowool in the past, which is thicker than the 2.5 silica, and have had no issues with flooding..

Thank you, and everyone for responding. I don't know whether to sand the bottom of the ring, or the internal taper. I don't know what is holding the ring the most. I feel like it is the inner wall of the ring and not the bottom. I also was wondering how to shim the provari without shorting the connection. I can can see from pictures that my kayfun lite's pin is shorter than most. I was thinking of putting a dab of solder on the connection, but that wouldn't conduct well at all because it would be the outer layer of the solder touching. I'll keep at it. Thanks again.

Thanks. Everything, thread wise, seems okay. I tried it on my neighbors p mini and it is the same. This particular K lite just had the center pin screw in a lot, or something like that. Can I unscrew it? I know, not to use it like that, but can I unscrew it and take it apart, then reassemble it to see what happens? I know they are not adjustable like the 3.1s, but yes can still be fully disassembled right? I got it to make contact with the beauty ring by sanding the ring a little bit, as was suggested. Thanks

Actually it is good to know that nobody else has this problem, because that means that there is a chance I could get it fixed, and an even better chance that the second one I have coming, won't do this. Would you go straight to the source with an email, or contact the supplier? As of now, I can deal with it, but it seems to be getting worst, like the pin is getting mashed in, but I'm not screwing it on tightly at all. My guess is it is something moving or out of wack up top, in the chamber, where the pin is threaded.

It's frustrating enough when, just another device, is having problems, but it is agony when it is with my unicorn vape setup. Between this kayfun and my amp tank with a few hh357s, I think I've found the best I'm gonna find for a long time. Guess what the only other device I had problems with was. Yup the amp tank. It went to Hanna for a few days, then I had to send it to Cisco for two months. Don't get me wrong though, those guys rock, and so does the tank. But jeez, why couldn't it be the evods and vivi Novas that have issues? Thanks for the reply. At least i'm vaping the kayfun. I probably won't push the issue if it doesn't get worst.

Just thinking out loud... if the center pin is too short for the 510 connection, maybe you could find a washer that could fit on that pin. It would need to fit snug on the pin and small enough to make sure it wouldn't touch the inner wall of the connector, so it doesn't shot out.
Yes, you could shim it. make sure it does not short out.
