I've read a lot of leaking issues here lately and I've had a few KFL leaks myself. Mine usually happens right after filling via the bottom screw port and I think it's because I put too much juice in the chamber to saturate the cotton before closing everything up. When this happens, I just blow out the excess juice in the chamber through the chimney, check the position of the wicks, reassemble and refill. So far this has worked for me.

What do you recommend? Ive seen a couple of the figure 8 videos and I know 1 was using .5 x .1

I don't care for ribbon wire, in general. I realize lots of people do. For me, the Kayfun build I like best is 28g kanthal, micro coil, 11 wraps on a 1/16 drill bit. Cotton wick, made from a sterile cotton ball.

I feel you on that. I just wanna try something new. I have mine in a 30g 10 wrap with cotton yarn. Idk if its because im sick, but the flavor seems muted and the vapor production is not that great. Ive done the same set up on my reo with a rm2 and get amazing flavor amd a nice vapor production. On the kfl, I have the coil right over the air hole with a very mminimal gap.

the reason you are getting some gurgling is because you are most likely dripping right on the coil. this will then leak below and into the air hole. I do this too, I saturate my wick pretty good, but I try to just drip on the tails, I then drop one directly on the coil. if you drip too much right on the coil it will get into the air hole and then like you said it then needs to be blown out.

With a little patience, you can carve this material anyway you want. Not sure if its bodens recipe, but looks and vapes the same. Works great in the kayfun lite and vapes very similar to cotton micro-coils.

The vape texture is a bit different due to how the ejuice get vaporized off the wick. Cotton is a bit "wetter", Ceramic is a bit "fuller" Both have excellent taste. Ceramic is slightly more pure, and cotton has a slighty softer note. Ceramic wins for durability. Just a dryburn and a rinse once a week. But then again micro-coil cotton wick change-out are simple. One thing I do like is that I dont need to take the kayfun apart as much. Less fiddle, more vape time.

thanks buddy, might have to give it a go. I know I will love the taste(no way I could ever forget) but how about the heat sink? when I go and vape my ceramic gennys now I have to get used to the primer puffs again, the one thing with the cotton that I have got used to is the instant hit.

With my leaks it just confuses me on how it happens because sometimes ill be able to go through more than half the tank, then it'll start gurgling and leaking. I'm sure I've wasted a lot of juice cuz of this. Sometimes ill set my kayfun standing straight up then 30 minutes later, I pick it up and have juice on my hand. Again, a slow leak coming from the air hole and always baffles me when it was working perfectly allllllllll day. I have noticed that when my cotton gets wet and puffs up, ill start to leak. I make a new cotton wick with a lot less cotton. Again, perfect for a good amount of time, then it leaks.

I've also done the "super 8" and made sure the wick was barely touching the channel and that it wasn't blocking it, vapes great for a bit and then leaks again.

I do make sure that everything is tight and that the o ring on the chimney is sitting properly on the top cap. I also make sure that the coil isn't touching the middle air hole inside.

Seriously out of ideas.

do you live like high in the Andes? or where there is great temperature differences? I know pressure affects this device. if I leave my k-lite in a hot place it gurgles and slightly leaks. personally I don't believe that a leak can be from a mis placed wick. I think the only reason it could leak is from pressure or orings, but not from a certain build.
