i've had a couple people start vaping after i let them try my eRoll. now their on to evod's etc. soon i'm sure they'll be wanting advice on rebuildables haha... give it a few years, it will be common to see people vaping!

Unless our beloved government (who loves us too) decides to throw a wrench in the works by taxing and regulating like they do everything else. I mean after all, they really do love and care for us. Right?

VAPE MAIL!! Got my Ohman custom Elan Shorty tip in the mail a few minutes ago. Took a pic with it on my Neme mod without a top cap because that's how it will look like when I snag a Fusion Mods hybrid adapter.

Can't wait for the adapter now!!!

Reporting in about my ss mesh + cotton tail wick setup. Going on 4 days and this thing keeps getting better. It tastes so seasoned and juicy and oh so good... Was thinking of opening up and cleaning it this morning but nah... Refilled again and kept going. Thats like 7 consecutive tank re-fills (1 1/2 tanks a day). Will probably open it up later tonight just because I got some new pre steeped juice in the mail.

Heh, Its so delicious I can't put it down. I'm down to 12mg anyways, not getting nic sic.

Anyways, I just contradicted myself. As I waited for a clients laptop to finish some processes I took her appart to se what was going on and the wicks where pretty blackened on the tips that touched the mesh. Decided to clean the deck and mesh under hot water, dry burn and redo the cotton. Lo and behold the flavor only cleaned up a smidge. So yeah I could've gone a few more fills without re-wicking it.

Can anyone tell me the size of the o-ring that sits between the chimney top tube and the top cap / mouthpiece hole?

I lost mine from my Russian. Tried an 0-ring I had laying around. Looked the right size but when I try to fill with e-juice the juice flows out of the mouth peice, so it can't be the right size.

I took the spare o-ring (chimney to top cap) out of my spare parts sack and measured it with my digital caliper. Metric 0-rings are sized as follows...

inside diameter X cross section width

I come up with 5mm x 1.5mm

Take it for what it's worth.

I just got an EH PRO KFL clone to compare to my real KFL.

Clone on left real KFL on right

Top cap of the clone is a straight edge. Not beveled like the KFL

Don't mind my burnt insulator. Gonna replace it now. I don't know what's up with the screw holes on the side of the terminal blocks, Maybe that will allow some different builds.

The clones oring for the chimney isn't visible. It's captured like a carto tank

Other than those things and the frosted tank opposed to clear its pretty spot on, all the major parts are interchangeable. I have not tried the mallet parts like screws and the terminals or pos pin

All the main body's parts just thread together.

Well I finally figured out sub ohm on this damn KFL.

I just wrapped a dual (side by side wrap, parallel, whatever u wanna call it) 9 wrap (18 total) of 28g on a 5/64 bit. Coil is super long.

I used 2 tiny strands of cotton yarn, folded and pulled thru (1 piece of yarn, but only used two strands) and laid then on the deck just like the manual says but I put them closer to the juice channel, not the wall.

Came out to .5 ohms and its working amazing.

Like I said before, with micros (even tho 5/64 is considered mini) in the KFL the key is surface area, that's why I chose the next bigger bit from a 1/16, just to give it more wick to heat.

I'll post a pic of the setup after I run the 2mls I put in thru it.

I think along with more wick coverage, its also the temperature as well. with a lower temp distributed along the coil contributes to a better flavor. I believe this to be true with thicker gauge wires. I run 26g which imo has a lower temp because of the added width of the wire and lower resistance of the wire, this is why I always felt like a thicker wire produces a better flavor, this is true because of the wire temperature which is the same in dual coils
