the main difference between the reo and the kayfun, except for the form factor of course, it that the kayfun is designed to auto feed the coil with fluid in use, much like the majority of delivery systems out there attempt to do with varying degrees of success, where the reo doesn't make any attempt at auto feeding the coil at all, it instead allows you to manually fully saturate the coil for each hit like a dripper, but instead of dripping you squeeze the bottle to feed and when you release it sucks back the excess. the reo's are highly regarded because, although there is nothing automatic about it, it does allow you to manually get the right delivery for each hit which is rarely the case with most auto feed designs
out of all the various types of auto delivery systems out there, the biggest problems with them can be boiled down to 3 main things:
1) under delivery of fluid (dry hits, burnt taste)
2) over delivery of fluid (flooding and bad vape)
3) leaking of fluid (#2 can also cause this too)
the kayfun type auto delivery method is well regarded and highly praised as one of the best auto delivery methods out there, and as long as it's wicked properly it does for the most part deliver on it's promise of being a very good auto delivery system, but there is a fine line between too much fluid delivery and not enough fluid delivery and this is where the tinkering and trial and error part comes into play. once you get your wicking and your draw and your power level right it can give a really great vape but it does help to understand how these variables affect the delivery and by understanding you can then adjust/compensate if you wind up with too dry hits or excess flooding. the kayfun is not foolproof but it is also well designed in that it normally can achieve really great results if you simply build it as intended in most cases and also realize that your draw is what is causing the tank to surge up and feed the wick. it is not as idiot proof as a reo can be but it is also not rocket science, and the potential for setting it up to give a really good auto feeding vape is very high as long as you have a little patience and desire
I have both, along with many other types of delivery method devices too and personally I usually carry just a reo and a kayfun when I'm out and about. they are different but they can both be very good
auto feed VS manual feed. that's the main difference
