Cinch it up and see what happens.
What do you mean?
Cinch it up and see what happens.
Grab the pedestal section on your deck (where the two wire screws are) with a pair of pliers and screw in your connector post from the bottom using a screwdriver. Be sure your insulator is lined up with the pedestal first. Should only be a fraction of a turn to cinch it up.
As an avid fan of the KFL, the upgrades on the KFL+ are HUGE in my opinion, making it a must.
The only two problems I had with my KFL was leaking from the fill screw, which I pretty much fixed myself, and the fact that some of my thicker juices tasted better when I ghetto-rigged a tiny piece of rolled SS mesh into the air hole to tighten it up a bit. I thought these modifications were worth the effort since the device is otherwise the best vape I've ever had.
Airflow is key, and with the two modifications on the KFL+ this atomizer will, in theory, be 99.99% perfect in my humble opinion. All the features of the jumbo 3.1s in a smaller leak-free package.
And thx Qorax

for that matter then why not just get the 3.1es, is it really that much smaller? I never bought a lite because the airflow is so key to the function of a vacuum tank atty like this that I wouldn't want to not have it. it's another tool in your tune ability. tightening up the draw will increase tank feed. also I would hate to have to remove the atty every time I want to fill it, the es has an awesome fill port on the side, it's a small hole in the side of the base with a tiny ball check valve in there. all you have to do to add fluid at any time is turn the unit so the drip tip faces down, then inject fluid from the tip of your bottle. even the mini has both of these options.
No problem Mark. 1/16" at 1 ohm on both my KF's and it rocks!!!! I even do the same coils for my Patriot rda just doubled for some serious clouds lol.
Around 8 wraps using 28 ga.

2nd micro coil attempt after getting some suggestions from you guys. 7 wraps 28g kanthal with sterile cotton wick. Came in a little higher than I wanted at 1 ohm but it's still a good vape. Gonna try 6 wraps next time and see what I get

another question about cotton/micro...now that ive been vaping that build today ive noticed that im getting dark juice coming out of the canal and mixing in with my juice in the tank. i have an m tank so i can see it pretty good lol. is that normal too?
it went in somewhat clear but now its brown
yeah, think the general consensus is 8-10 wraps as the ideal microcoil. I sometimes like even more, 12-13 is still very good for my tastes but that long can cause complications in some atty's too. I had a dual 17 build in my cyclone atty and it was really really good, not sure why I ripped I out and went less, guess I just thought it must be way too much, but hasn't been really as good since, might go back and try closer to 15. I agree though, less than 8 does start to get a bit harsh
