strange that it only has the through holes on the positive post only. the 3.1 has holes on both posts

As far as I know only the 3.1 and KFL clones have these holes. The legit 3.1 amd KFL dont have them and I hadn't noticed them on preview pics and vids of the KFL+.

I believe my kayfun 3.1 has them  I'm going to have to look next time I swap out the cotton

Just got my Kayfun Lite + in the mail. Sadly only 3 of the 7 packages I have in transit arrived, those where my Big Willie's Custard order, my Mt Baker order and the KFL+. For the record I got it from VapeRev and they sent a baggie of spares.

First of all here is a curious little detail that I didn't see anywhere else regarding the KFL+:

2qyp.jpg

There are screw holes like that on both sides of the positive terminal post! This will likely come in handy for dual coil builds!

Just finished putting the same build in it as I have in my KFL (1.6ohm 30awg 8 wrap 1.5mm ID vertical coil touching the air hole) so that I could compare them head to head. With the air control opened up all the way (until the head of the screw is flush with the base) I feel the draw is identical to the standard KFL. Its only when I unscrew it further that I get an airier draw. Luckily with the Fusions Mods hybrid adapter I can expose a thread or two of the air control set screw and then pin it down with the adapter if I want an airier draw. One nice thing I noticed is that if I tighten the air control a bit I get a pretty noticeable flavor boost from the vape witch is nice for when I want flavor over vapor volume.

Another thing of note is that I can still use the nipple tip on my bottles to fill it up with the new deeper fill hole but not without a little leakage from around the nipple because the nipple goes in so far that the edge of the bottle's mouth rests on the 510 connection forcing the bottle to be a little sideways. Haven't tried to empty it yet with the same bottle squeeze method I've been using on the KFL just yet, I suspect it should work alright unless the nipple isn't making a full seal on the inside of the fill hole. If it isn't I suspect I might make a pretty bad mess trying to empty it this same way. I might have to get some blunt tip bottle caps for this. Oh well..

And my final note is that, judging from pictures I was thinking the base ring was a bit taller than the standard KFL by maybe 1mm or 2mm making the whole thing taller. To my relief this is not the case. The base ring is exactly the same height so the entire device is identical in every other way.

Frankly I'm not sure if I like it more than the standard KFL, I never had a leakage problem with the fill hole on the KFL and I liked that beveled screw hole to use with my bottle nipples, that one is a bit of a downer for me. And the whole air control I see myself just leaving it wide open for the most part.

Is there any difference in the draw when the air control screw is flush with the base and if you unscrew the air hole screw completely and have it sitting out? someone posted that the draw becomes even airier?

Yes the draw gets loads airier by just unscrewing it 2 threads further from the edge of the base. At that point there is no part of the screw inside the air intake passage. After some more scrutiny I can say that with the screw opened till its flush with the base the draw is a hair tighter than the KFL. I think I'm going to take a file or dremel drum to the tip of the screw to remove a bit of it, it just doesnt make any sense that it is actually tighter when "fully open" instead of being able to go both ways in comparison.

I would be warry of running it without the screw as any air hole leaks or floods would surely mean juice inside my mod. Even with the hybrid adapter on I'd see juice seeping through onto my battery.

Ok, upon further inspection the base ring is actually about .5mm taller, its barely noticeable but I wanted to clear that up since i said that they where identical.

Also I just used my bottle suction method to empty the tank with no issues. I've actually grown very fond of the new fill hole. Not having to tighten it down hard is a blessing and I found that I don't get any leaks with my bottle tips by just using a little bit of sideways pressure to form the seal so props to that!

Funny Story:
I was walking down a long alleyway with my Poldiac/KFL and JGG/Ithaka in a side pocket of a Tumi bag....as I get to the end of the alleyway I reach for the KFL and only see the Poldiac. The KFL was gone!!! I panicked! What if it was run over by a car??? I started walking back retracing my steps....and....There it was! On the pavement...all alone! Gray on gray!!! A few scratches and dings...err...
I picked it up, brushed off the dust using my t-shirt as usual and went on vaping....
Meet my Kayfun Family!

Guys, did some search but can't find answer to my question and really don't have time to read 500+ pages of this thread :)
I have 0.8ohm coil build in my KFL ... it's microcoil with 28awg, 7 wraps and filled with cotton.
My problem is I have full mouth of liquid on every pull and don't know why.
I tried moving coil closer and futher to air intake and also changed drip tip but it's still same.
Does anybody have same problem? Thanks

I have not had this issue but wonder if you are using too much cotton..sounds like it's choking.

it is flooded, you can turn it upside down and blow INTO the air intake while firing to clear it.....

That was not a funny story. Thats an edge of your seat horror story! I had a heart attack when I dropped my KFL once.

You said "filled with cotton"... how filled is it? If it's too much, the cotton could be really saturated and that's what coming up in your mouth. do you have a pic? when I thread my cotton through the coil.. I trim it off about even with the sides of the device.. the wick tails only need to cover the juice inlets..the whole chamber doesn't need to be filled with cotton. Let us know how it's working for you.
